Chapter 9

Taurus held the door open for Crystal as the walked into the doctor together. He wanted to know once and for all about the baby. Crystal ended up cancelling the appointment meant for last week because supposedly her doctor is the cancelled, but Taurus said no more stalling. She already seemed nervous being there as is.

"Look, I can go in by myself." Her voice shook. "We not even together, so I don't think I'm comfortable."

"You begged for me to be involved, I've been trying to be. We already here so c'mon." He said to her.

"I lost the baby!" She raised her voice slightly. She never lost any baby, when Crystal cheated, she honestly did not know whose baby it was. She found out through a DNA test who's it was and it was never Polo's, but she hid that for weeks just to try to get him back. Crystal was still pregnant, but didn't want to admit that or whose it is.

Taurus knew she was up to no good and finally he was content knowing he wouldn't have to have anything to do with her ever again and can explain everything to Mariah somehow. All he could think about was Mariah and how much he was in love with her.

"Like I said, you a crazy weird bitch. Find a ride," he said as he left her standing there.

Two weeks passed since Mariah spoke to Taurus. She's been able to ignore his attempts to speak to her at school. She was hurt, regardless of why he must've been doing it.

Mariah got out of the shower and started getting ready for work. There was moments where she almost gave up on legitimately everything. She was just exhausted for the way life was going yet again. No one in her life. No one there for her.

While Mariah was at work, she was at the register checking out a customer when she noticed Taurus standing behind the person currently in line. She missed looking at him and being around him, but it was hard for her to get over what he did.

"Have a good day," she said to the customer.

Taurus walked up in line with five pairs of shoes. She knew why he had so many, just so he had time to talk to her.

"I miss you, Mariah." He said after there was a few seconds of silence between them.

She looked up at him between scanning and bagging the first item. "You got your ex in your life again, I don't want nothing to do with you." She went about scanning.

"I just needed to get on her good side to get the baby situation figured out. I never touched her. I ain't did nothing, but go with her to her appointment today that was supposed to be last week, she cancelled. She came clean and said she lost the baby when we got there."

Mariah looked at him in shock, but still didn't give in. "It's not about just that though. I can't talk about it right now, I'm on the clock... clearly." She scanned his last item.

"Can you please unblock me and come home?" He asked. "I moved out to my own apartment yesterday night and I want you there with me. You ain't talk to me in two weeks, I'm sorry."

"You Polo G?" A couple younger teenage kids interrupted. Taurus and Mariah looked over at them.

"Yeah," he answered. The boys smiled and pulled their phones out.

"Can we get a picture man? I fuck with that freestyle you just dropped onfoenem!" They were excited.

"Real quick, I'm talking to my girl." He said getting beside one of them for a picture and went down the line individually until they all got their pictures and left.

"What we did was a mistake Taurus, I'll unblock you, but go on about your business. It's no hard feelings." She said to him. "You holding up the line."

"When is your break?" He asked.
