Raelyn POV Cambridge , MA December 31st 2022- 9:00pm
It was New Years Eve and I still haven't seen Taylen since Christmas . I missed her. I wanted to go into the new year with her. We would go to a party and she could meet my friends . I decided to call her.
The phone rang for a second.
"Hey." She said
"Hey. You still grounded?"
"Yep. Look like I'm going to spend the night going into the new year with my mom and her friends."
"Could you sneak out?"
"Maybe. She left and there's camera everywhere."
"She's going to figure out either way so might as well."
"True okay I will. I'll drive to your house."

Taylen's fit - tennis shoes instead of flip flops
15 minutes later I hear a car outsider. I see it's Taylen getting out the car. I go downstairs and open the door for her.
"Hey ! Glad you decided to come." I said opening the door
"Thanks. So am I."
" so my friends party starts at 10 so we can chill in my room until then. If that's good with you."
"Yea thats fine."'she said smiling.
We hung out for a while.
My phone rang as we were watching the Jessie.
"Yo where you at" my friends Tra said over the phone
"I'm at home what's up"
" don't forget about the party."
"I didn't . You and Sierra won't let me."
" okay. See you soon."He chuckled I hung up.
"Who was that" Taylen had asked
"Just my friend Tra. He was just making sure we was still coming to the party.
It was now 9:30
"You ready ?" I asked
"Yea."
Taylen's POV
We had made it to her friends house. I was nervous. I didn't know what her friends were like but if they were friends with her, they had to be alright.
Hopefully .
"Don't me nervous love. They gone like you" she said looking at me.
"Okay."
She opens my car door and we walk up together . Raelyn
"AYE TRA!" She yelled. Allowing her presents to me known.
"What witchu." He relived giving her a hug.
"This my girl." She said
"Hey I'm Taylen." I reasoned nervously . Girl?? Idk about that yet but who's complaining .
"Well Hey. I'm Tra. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you as well."
"The rest of the group in here." We went in the kitchen where I was the rest of her friend group. Rachel, Kya, and Jamison . They introduced themselves and I introduced mines. I had shortly learned that Kya and Jamison were in a relationship . As well as Tra and Rachel.
We ended playing uno, eating burgers and fries, and talking. Lots of shots . Time and passed and it was currently 11:59 pm and we were about to go on the balcony and watch the fireworks. 5,4,3,2,1... Happy New Years. The fireworks set off. Someone kissing someone . Raelyn attached me lips to hers and I loved it. They were soft and sweet.
Once it was over we all went back inside and just getting to know each other. Kya was from Florida , Rachel was cheer captain. Jamison and Tra were on the football and basketball team .
I guess Raelyn could tell I was getting tired . Every since I've been grounded I've been going to sleep early.
"We can leave whenever you want princess." She said whispering in my ear.
"Okay." We stayed for about 10 more minutes before leaving .
We said our goodbyes . " you ready to go home or?"
"No. I was some cookies."
"Okay. I know where to get the best ones". She said driving off.
We ended going to some cookie place. They were really good. I got a Coke Zero and a snickerdoodle cookie. The cookies were pretty big. Raelyn got the same.
We talked and ate. I pondered if I should bring up the "my girl." Comment or not. Fuck it. It's the new year .
"I have a question"
"If it's about the my girl introduction isn't it."
"Yea."
"Sorry. I got carried away and really excited you were meeting my friends"
"It's okay I'm not complaining." I said getting very comfortable in my seat.
"It's getting late. Let me take you home." She said moving the gear in drive .
She drove in my driveway. She walked me up and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"Bye love." She said
"Bye. Be safe." I responded.
Once I was inside and settled. I heard footsteps come up to my room.
"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING." I heard my mom complain
"I don't know what your taking about ." I said changing my clothes and getting into bed.
"NO. You know exactly what I'm talking about. Sneaking out thinking a wouldn't know."
"I knew you were going to find out anyway. So I did it."
"That's it. I'm tired of the disrespect. And whoever this girl is your hanging with is over. I tried to cut you slack because of your dad but that's out the window.You have taken advantage of that . Give me your phone."
"Mom seriously"
"NOW."
I handed her my phone.
"Happy new year sweetie." She said in a petty attitude
