⨯ ↷˚let's start!﹕⺌﹒✧◟

Akaza tore through the forest, utterly disgusted from the events just minutes before. His footsteps were scarily light, almost trembling with the sheer anger pounding through them.

Why the fuck is he Upper Two?

That womanizer is weaker than a human.

He slowed to a stop, shadows falling over his face. The quiet, peaceful forest- such a contrast to the dizzying mess of stairs and doors and tatami mats- was dead still with dread for the incoming flurry of flying fists and heels with the force to shatter everything to the ground.

Faster than a blink, a path of devastating destruction lay in front of his feet. That was never enough. He longed for the satisfying crunch of bones beneath his knuckles.

Warm and inviting, yellow lights shone in the distance through the fallen trees. Akaza decided he'd go and rid another village of their men. They're all despicable, weak, cowardly.

--

Laughing in pure delight, you held another dagger to his already bloody throat, legs pinning him to his own bed with the strength you even didn't know you had. Who knew this position commonly used for other purposes could be so useful for bloodbath? A swipe of your blade, another splatter of blood whipping through the air. The yellow glow only made the crimson look more sickening.

'You disgusting piece of shit.'

Your excitement quickly made way for your rage to spill through again.

'How dare you-!' your eyes shine with tears at the thought of her. You choke back another pathetic sob.

The man beneath you was long dead to reply to your words with his laughable venom again. Your mind descended further into the haze of your deadly fury, where the heavy metallic slick sunk into the sheets.

Too clouded over to notice another presence the demon wasn't even hiding.

Eyes wide, fascinated, his silhouette crouched on the thin window railing, perfectly balanced. 'Hey.'

No response- so he lazily snapped his fingers in your direction, finally earning an answer from you. You leaned back casually and tilted your head to look at him. Neck arched up, you let a grin dripping with bloodlust tug up your scarlet lips. A trickle of blood ran down your jaw. 'Tell a soul and i'll rip your neck off.'

It was the hints of a warning in your laid-back tone that intrigued him.

He mirrored your grin. 'I'd love to see you try.'

So you do- you whip your dagger at him with a deft flick of your wrist. He catches it with dead accuracy in midair, blue tipped hand flying up faster than your eyes could follow.

You laugh, almost crazed, at the pure speed he demonstrated.'Let's kill everyone in this damned village.'

He dangles the knife in his fingers, tongue reaching out to slowly lick off the blood. 'Let's not go too far- only the males, dear. What's your name?'

'Y/n.'

'Well, Y/n, let's go.' The knife knocks over the bedroom door in a flash, embedding itself deep in the carved wood. In one swift movement, he jumps down from the railing.

The tales of glowing golden eyes and familiar h/c locks bloodying the town in the dead of night would be passed on for centuries to come.

--

You sat before a ragged cliff miles high, staring towards the heavens twinkling with stars you knew you would never reach anymore. The cursed town to which you had sealed your fate to was now far, far behind.

'Isn't it beautiful?' you say, to no one in particular.

Akaza -you learned his name- only sighs in reply. 'There's no point looking up anymore. Come to hell with me, Y/n.' he walks in front of you, extending a hand. 'You've proven yourself worthy.'

Though he didn't specify it, you knew exactly what he meant. That otherworldly pink hair, deathly pale skin couldn't possibly be human. Not to mention his strangely carved eyes and that straight up monstrous strength.

He was offering the same strength for you to own.

Without a second thought, you reach your arm up, further sealing your fate, locking yourself in boundless immunity.

Suddenly, you jumped as sharp, sharp blue barely grazed your fingertips. As fast as it was, it didn't even leave behind a small breeze behind it, as if it had no presence. You were certain you would have missed it if not for the vibrant blue. Your mind whirled as you registered what it meant: Someone with a nichirin blade was standing over you, attempting to attack.. Akaza?

Pathetic, was the first word you thought of.

'Upper Moon.. Three.' you looked up to see alarm briefly flashing in the newcomer's eyes, going as fast as it came, much to your surprise. You tilted your head curiously as you noticed it's apathetic dull.

Akaza cocked his head up, smiling. 'I'm Akaza.' His eyes gleamed in excitement as he scanned his battle spirit. 'You're as strong as a hashira! Tell me your name, I want to remember it.'

'My name is of no importance to you.'

Everyone watched as the one with the blue blade reached a red-clad arm up and clicked his fingers. The sound resonated through the clear night, in a way you were more than certain was a call for backup.

'Of course, the more the merrier!' Akaza gestures with his arms. He looks in your direction and smiles.

Me? Wait, what?

A soft, light presence flutters in from behind you, the voice attached equally beautiful. 'You'll be just fine. Follow me, girl. You don't need to worry, you'll be safe with me.' you turn to see a woman with a butterfly hair pin, a sweet, sweet smell filling your senses as the rest of the world promptly fades.

Oh...

Should you follow her? The thought of betraying Akaza ignites an uncomfortable, churning feeling in your stomach, but instinct tells you to take the butterfly girl's hand. She smiles at you, a simple motion that made up the decision.

As if in a trance, you take her hand and follow her in the shelter of the trees.

'I'll be back, Y/n!' Akaza's voice reaches your ears in between faint clashes of metal against flesh rings out.

You're too disoriented to register what he said, but somewhere deep inside, you hold the promise close to heart.

'You didn't have to drug her.'

'Oh, but Tomioka-san, it's so much easier this way! I spend a lot less time taking her away, to aid your fight.'

⨯ ↷˚end!﹒ıllı.
