THIRD PERSON'S POV
chatters and laughter was heard in each corner of the room as the music flowed , the dancefloor was filled with guest having fun dancing with their partners as waiters walked around with platters in their hold serving the people
genevieve watched the taller woman speak happily with alejandro with a brightening smile , it was refreshing seeing the man was doing the effort to rekindle his relationship with his daughter as he told the brunette moments before and he couldn't be more prouder seeing his daughter more relaxed and happy for once
the brunette sipped her champagne as her eyes glazed the reception , she couldn't help but feel the a sting of pain in her chest at the thought of who she considered her sister wasn't here to celebrate with her. she tried getting over it yet it was a hard thing to blow over
her attention seem to snap from her thoughts as she heard a familiar bubbly voice calling her name , her eyes looked to the person and a grin laced on her face upon seeing delilah walking to her with the same grin. she changed from her outfit from before that consisted of a pair of jeans , grey t shirt and white sneakers as her black curly hair was in a low bun
as she now wore a silver glittery dress that hugged her curves as it stopped mid thigh , paired with silver heels and neutral makeup . her hair slicked back in a now low pony with pieces of her curls framing her face
"delilah!" the brunette said happily at her familiar face meeting the woman halfway as the two shared a hug , for knowing each other for only a day . some might think they've known each other for a life time
"you look so beautiful! loving the suit moment" delilah grinned as genevieve laughed lightly waving the woman off
"i couldn't let bells have all the spotlight" she smirked cockly , delilah giggled shaking her head
"she seems like a keeper , you guys are really perfect for each other and i truly wish for you both never ending happiness and content in your marrige" the brunette smiled at that
"she's precious to me and i plan to keep it that way" genevieve said with a soft smile as her eyes found the woman that overtook her thoughts every second of the day , bellarosa felt a gaze on her as she turned her eyes from her father as he spoke to some guest that joined them and was met with the brunette's soft ones . a smile graced on her face sending genevieve a small wink
the brunette blushed lightly as she sent the same smile back before turning her attention on delilah , the two now engaging in a conversation which somehow landed to them being on the dance floor with a glass of champagne in each's hand laughing and smiling as they danced to the music
"so bellarosa...you ready to take over the empire" the taller woman turned her attention from the brunette on the dancefloor to one of her father's business partners , she felt like sighing at the mention of the very thing she tried forgetting
so she stuck with a hum and a short answer in response "as i've been since i came of age" her tone monotone showing that her disinterest in the upcoming topic was clear for all to notice
"i mean handling such a legendary empire that has been in power for many years is alot to take responsibility for.... i'm sure you understand" he turned his eyes to alejandro sipping his whiskey
both father and daughter already knew the true meaning behind the man's question , for her being a woman no matter what she had between her legs would never satisfy the men in the mafia world as bellarosa ruling over the romano empire meant ruling over all mafia around the world . she soon will have the power to make or break mafia's with just the snap of her fingers
bellarosa shared a look with her father as irritation flashed through her dark eyes , alejandro gave her a look to not respond as he knew she would bruise the man's ego and anger hum which would result into her ripping the man's tongue from his mouth with her bare hands if he tried disrespecting her in any way
"my daughter will continue on my legacy as the romano empire will forever be in it's greatest height of power" he spoke instead as his grey eyes narrowed to the man not to speak again
bellarosa rolled her eyes "if you'll excuse me" she moved past the group making her way to the brunette . passing the sea of people dancing she found genevieve giggling with delilah
"mind if i steal her for a moment" genevieve looked from her friend to the taller woman and a immediate grin made it's on her face , delilah looked between the two as she grinned "not at all" she sent the brunette a teasing look before leaving
bellarosa took the woman in her arms feeling her mind relax at the feeling of the brunette's body against hers and her addicting scent invading her nose
genevieve brought her arms around the woman's neck smiling to her , bellarosa's hands found her way to the woman's waist as her eyes looked down to her before speaking
"hi" said the taller woman with a tiny grin as a small giggle left the brunette's lips before responding "hi"
"you look really pretty" genevieve blushed at the simple compliment
"you look really pretty too" she replied shyly making the taller woman chuckle at her flushed face , she would never tire seeing it
slowly the two swayed to the music at it changed into a much slower and sensual song , the brunette's hands traveled to the woman's arms "you know..." bellarosa trailed off
"i'm glad i agreed to go to the club with luna that night" smiled the taller woman hearing her woman's laughter
"and why's that exactly?" genevieve raised her brow
"than i wouldn't have met you...this wonderful woman who if possible , i would gift each and every star that lays in the sky just for you" bellarosa said softly
genevieve felt her heart skip a beat as she gave the woman a warm look , she bit her lip to prevent the big grin threatening to lay on her face "is that so" she said quietly bringing her eyes down to the woman's lips
bellarosa hummed bringing the woman's hand to lips placing a kiss on it before bringing her own hand up to the woman's cheek caressing it with her thumb "anything you want and i'll give it without any thought....at all" she cupped the brunette's jaw looking deep in her eyes letting the woman know she was serious
genevieve's took in a sharp breathe feeling the tingles travel throughout her body as her hands grasped the taller woman's arms pushing her body closer than it already was , her eyes already telling the dark haired everything she needed to know as her hand tightened on the shorter woman's waist
