[Third POV]

Heavy breaths escaping a crude, scarred mouth.
Feral eyes looking around a broken, bloodied room.
A lean figure looming over still-warm corpses of ones that trusted too much.
Static of a distant radio filled the quiet air, a sharp inhale breaking the repetitive buzzing.

"Wimbleton..," a hushed voice sounded from the intercom.

"Wimbleton." The voice repeated, tone harsher.

"What did you do?" It said, voice stern, though wavering at the end.
"I did what would of eventually happened." Hank stated matter-of-factly to the air, uninterested with what the person on the other side of the radio was saying.
"They were your teammates, Wimbleton."
"I don't do teammates."

A pause of words uncomfortably filled the silence, a trembling voice eventually filling it.
"Then what am I to you?"
"A mere object. Something I use and then throw out, just like these two." The blood-covered merc hummed, motioning towards the, now cold, figures on the dirtied floor.

Another pause, longer than the last.
"I trusted you."
"Bad idea to trust someone that is known to not trust back."
"I trusted you." They repeated, voice raspy as if in denial.
Hank didn't respond, he didn't need to as the other continued.
"I can't believe I spent all that time. All that time. On someone that doesn't even have a second thought about me."
The mercenary made his way over to the radio.

"I can't believe I trusted you, Wimbleton. I can't believe I really, really, did trust you."
"There wasn't anything trustable to begin with," Hank cruelly spoke, crushing the intercom under his boot, grinding the device into the ground.

"As the man you first met isn't here anymore."
