Situation: Reminiscing

He sat in his solitude; static and unchanged in posture. All he could think about was her. The dark-haired man thought fondly of how perfect she and him were as a couple. He groaned in longing for her to return to him.

She was alluring yet simultaneously innocent; that pure lust in her eyes when she would moan his real name when she couldn't handle the tension anymore.

Zhongli continued to sulk in front of his window, cupping his mug close to his chest. What a lonely man he was. Everyone had gone home to their families for the holidays. They were leaving no one active at the funeral parlor where he worked.

He sighed. It felt pointless to dress up or tie his hair. Who would even be there to see him? He decided against trying that morning. However, the bristly cold season did not waver his heart that burned in yarning for someone, a lady who lifted his stone heart.

To be in her presence, her warm embracing arms. He continued to indulge himself with fond memories of quality time spent with her. Zhongli could never forget about her. Not when her sweet scent still stained the sheets. He held up a geo stone. It showed a picture of (Y/N). Why was something as simple as her smile melting his old soul?

Perhaps it was silly how he dreamed of nothing more than an old fart like him to be with a colorful soul like hers. To be her lover and a man she adores.

He groaned, rubbing his eyes. All this wishful thinking made the man curse at his coffee. How ridiculous. He was not going to indulge in his misery any longer. But it was undeniable just how lonely he felt deep down.

"Cold and uninviting, have I truly aged ungracefully?" He pondered, staring at his reflection in the coffee. Zhongli gazed at his golden brown eyes, streaked in red paint. His long dark hair fell to the front of his bare chest. A silent sigh with his hands turned into fists, he muttered. "A mortal by appearance but a dying soul at heart."

How cruel, his fate set in stone.
