Chapter 09

Alex's pov

Today the mafia council was called to reveal an identity of a member of De Luca's. I knew it was for Rosie.

Council started. She came with her two brothers. Maybe it was fate that she was seated right infront of me beside her brother.

She was wearing a mask but I could tell it was her from one single look. God knows how much I have missed her in this one year...It still feels like a dream that I made her leave one year ago...

Her name was called. She stood up with her head held high. And then...she removed her mask.

She looked much different from what I saw a year ago. She was a cute, pretty looking girl...but now....there was no doubt she was pretty and drop dead gorgeous still she looked different. More powerful and...dominant. Just like what I have heard about De Luca princess.

She was wearing an off shoulder dress with slit open that reached her middle thigh. Dress hugged her every curve perfectly. But the most eye catching things were her tattoos and piercings. The girl I knew didn't have any tattoos. She did have some ear piercings but not a lip piercing. She had a tattoo of a black panther on her forearm resembling her reputation in mafia as a black panther. She also had a aword and a tiara tangled in roses tattooed on her back indicating she was the princess of mafia.
Damn! she looked hella sexy and fierce at the same time. She had the aura that makes everyone submit to her.  How much I wish to have those plump rosy lips on mine again...

Rose's pov

Things have been going smoothly for nearly eight months....Until Dom got a letter from Dantaes.

" There is no way in the freaking hell I'm going to agree brother "

" what's wrong with you princess ? It just an ally asking to work on a project with you.. "

" but..."

" you know what's the project is right? Don't you wanna get revenge for mom and dad ? Don't you want to give them peace princess ? This might be our only chance..."

" okay...fine. "

I don't want to agree. But I can't be selfish. I want revenge for my parents more than anything else.

Those freaking Dantaes has directed a letter to Dom asking me to work with their heir to end Balzanos. I want nothing more than destroying Balzanos.
I had to agree for the sake of my late parents.

I decided to finish up the things for today and headed home. Today Eli was staying with Leo cause Diego had a mission to complete. I may leave Eli with Diego for days but I can't trust my brother with her even for 24 hours. Don't get me wrong...it's just that Leo is so unpredictable and don't know how to take care of a baby. It was worst since Eli had started to take steps and likes to roam around the whole house. That girl really likes to give me trouble while she is best girl when comes to her uncle Diego.

I came home. There was no sign of Leo and Eli. I went to both of their rooms and no one was there. I peaked in to the kitchen while going upstairs again.

Freaking hell....it was a complete mess. And there was my baby. She was all covered up with flour. Same goes with her uncle.

"What in the world you did to my baby LEO!!! "
I didn't wanna curse infront of Eli but the scene infront of me was just ridiculous. A grown up 23 year old man, that's also a mafia prince and a 11 months old baby....whole covered up with flour. Ohhh.....did I mention that the whole kitchen was covered up with flour.

I know one thing for sure.  our family maid was going to kill Leo today.

" she wanted to eat cake. So I was just going to bake one. " Leo said while his raising his hands in the air.

" you could have just order a cake you asshole. "  I'm sorry Eli. But your uncle Leo is too dumb.

I took Eli in my arms.

" You better clean this up Leo before Martha comes "

" it's unfair...." that mafia prince started whinning.

" fineeeee!!!! I will help you after cleaning Eli from this mess"

" That's ma sis " he winked at me.

I'm not going to say anything because I don't wanna curse anymore.

The day came....that I wished  never to come. The day I'm going to start my project with the Dantes Heir. I'm doing this for the sake of my late parents.

" Mr. Dantae has arrived Ms.Rose " my secretary Dave told me. Yup Dave is my secretary too. Almost no one in my crew or family calls me Rosana. It's always Rose or something else.

I just nodded at Dave and entered my office. My biggest nightmare was waiting for me at my own office.

" Nice to meet you again Rosie..."

I gave him a sharp look.

" It's Ms. De Luca for you Mr. Alessio Dantae "

I saw a glimpse of disappointment and guilt flashing through his eyes. Maybe it's just my imagination. He was the who told me to leave his life and never come back.

How cruel fate is....here I am with the same man in my own office sitting face to face.

" Rosie look I- "

I cut him off.

" Just straight to the businesses Mr. Dantae. I don't have a connection with you nor you have connection with me except for this project "
