Taylor's POV:

I wake up this morning at 6:00 and walk into the twins's room to check on them and see if they're up. As it's only morning two with them, I have no idea what time they usually wake up at. A lot of little kids are already up at 6 or will be up by 6:30 so I won't be surprised if that's the case with my siblings too.

I almost have a heart attack when I see that Lexie isn't in her bed. Then I look over at Archer's bed and low and behold, both twins are passed out cold cuddling with each other. They look like little angels when they're asleep. It's at this moment that I notice that they're holding hands. That's just too cute.

I take a picture of them with my phone and immediately at it to favorites. I'm already being such a mom and I've hardly had kids for three days.

I let the the little ones sleep and go into my room to shower and get dressed for today. Once I've finished all of that, it's only 6:30. I sit on my bed and write down a handful of song lyrics for my next album, Reputation that I'm releasing next year.

I sit here humming the melody of the song to myself and I nod my head to the beat. "And all at once, you are the one I have been waiting for. King of my heart, body and soul. Ooh whoa," I sing softly. I smile to myself and make some marks in my song book about pitches and things. I make some more lyrics and test them out for a little while.

Then I hear some movements coming from the room next door. The cats are with me so it has to be the twins. I put my music stuff away and check the time 7:13. I smile at the 13 in the time. My lucky number.

I get up and go to the twins room where they're sitting on the floor playing with all of the stuffed animals Joe and I got them yesterday. How are they so damn cute?

"Hey cuties!" I say. "Taylor!" says Archer and he jumps up and hugs me. "Hey, buddy!" I say and I gently rub his back and ruffle his hair. Archer sits back down and nudges Lexie.

"Hi Taylor," she says shyly. She doesn't stand up to hug me but I know that I can't get my feelings hurt. The poor girl has been through a lot and it's going to take her sometime to fully warm up to me and that's okay. She can take all the time she needs.

"Are you two ready to get dressed for our day?" I ask. "Yeah!" they say. "Okay then let's go pick out something to wear," I say. The twins stand up and follow me into their closet.

Archer grabs a pair of jeans and a blue t-shirt and a green plaid over shirt with little white buttons. Lexie grabs a yellow shirt with black leggings. I help both kids get dressed and then I fix their hair so it's not messy from sleeping.

Lexie just wants to leave her shoulder length hair down and is too scared to let me brush it so I hand her the brush and she does it herself. Archer just needs a good comb since his hair is sticking up at odd angles.

"You two hungry?" I ask once they're finished with fixing their hair. They nod vigorously. "Well then let's go downstairs and see what we've got," I say. The twins hold hands and follow me downstairs into the kitchen.

I check the fridge and pantry and say "We've got lots of options. We've got pancakes, waffles, French toast, cereal, oatmeal, eggs, bacon, fruit. Whatcha feeling like?"

The twins are staring at me in shock with their jaws dropped. "Holy options, Batman," says Archer. Lexie giggles.

"Let me ask you this... have you ever had any of those things before? Or do you know what they are?" I say. "We had to make all of those for mother and father," says Archer. Lexie nods.

THEY HAD TO DO WHAT?! ARE THEY SERIOUSLY TELLING ME THAT THEY WERE OUR PARENTS SERVANTS?! THEY'RE NOT EVEN SIX YET!

I nod. I don't even know what to say to that... to them out loud I mean. There are a million things I would like to say to our parents. But I said most of them the other day when the twins fell asleep at 7:30 in Nashville the day I got them and I drove straight over to my parents house and yelled at them for hours and then came back to Joe and the kids fuming mad. It took Joe the entirety of an hour to get me to calm down.
