Hand in hand, Usagi and Nova ran around searching the first floor for any of the membership cards lying around, unfortunately they found none.
"The Hunter is now on the loose"
Nova turned to Usagi nervously and found Usagi sharing the same worried look as her. 'This is where it becomes a spades game.' Nova thought to herself.
"That means he's on the first floor" Usagi said glancing around the area briefly.
Nova looked around before saying "shit we gotta go"
And with that, Nova and Usagi took off hand in hand up the large flight of stairs.
As they were running, Nova spotted a small hiding place in the wall, about big enough for two people to squeeze into. It was either a trap or it was a place to hide, either way they didn't have much of a choice, noticing the Hunter was starting his way up the stairs and they didn't have time to think while running.
Nova yanked on Usagi's hand and pulled them both into the small space in the wall. "What.." Usagi was cut off from Nova putting her hand over Usagi's mouth to muffle any noise that comes out of Usagi.
Nova put a single finger over her lips to signal to Usagi to be quiet and lowered her hand off of her mouth. Even if Usagi was more experienced with these games, she was making Nova feel smart with how stupid she was in this game, the Hunter was right behind them and she was speaking as if it were a normal, not-life-or-death-situation.
Nova and Usagi waited like that for a few minutes until they heard the hunters footsteps approaching swiftly. They stayed quiet, they were even to afraid to breathe.
As they heard the footsteps fade away, they both let out a breath of air they didn't even know they were holding.
Nova felt a lightbulb ding in her head. "I have a plan.."
~time skip~
Nova was sitting on the bars that connected and supported the roof of the 12th floor. Waiting to hear the footsteps of the Hunter.
Usagi was currently leading the Hunter up the stairs to the 12th floor. The buff man from earlier and his partner, the smart guy who looked like he was plotting murder on everyone from earlier were sitting in two corners of the room across from eachother. They had joined in on the plan.
Nova knew they would be useful.
They were hidden behind the equipment waiting to attack.
Usagi ran up the stairs trying to avoid the bullets flying everywhere around her, once she got onto the 12th floor she had a head start in front of the Hunter so he wouldn't notice where she hid. Usagi climbed on top of one of the workout equipment pieces and pulled herself up onto one of the bars in the ceiling, sitting right next to Nova. They gave eachother a small smile before focusing back on the entrance.
