A smooth, subtle jazz song fills the room as Felix chops onions in the kitchen. A ding is heard; his Iphone lighting up as he wipes his hands across his apron.

"lix, im gonna be abt 15min late, meeting running late luv u x"
The blonde shuts his phone off, unconsciously rolling his eyes as he continues to slice and dice.
The parking lot is cold, dark and empty. The lights from the convenience store are the only thing that allows one to see the car Chan now finds him in, across from the store.
Here he sits, in dead silence, dreading going home after sending Felix a text about some non existent meeting. He's unsure how many of these excuses he can pull before Felix starts to get suspicious.
The red blinking "24 HOUR" sign lights up his face in an unsettling hue which encapsulates his gloom. With a heavy sigh, he switches on the ignition and proceeds to drive home.
To his home. Their home. Their house. Their house that once was a home; now just a building.

Felix hears the front door unlock and not soon after he sees Chan walk up behind him, leaving a small peck on his cheek. A lifeless kiss, if you could even call it that. Felix's mind wanders to the time when Chan would come home, hungry for him. When he'd drop his bags on the floor hastily, wrapping his arms around the blonde's waist and fuck him on the kitchen counter. Now, he gets pecks on the cheek and a soul-less house.

The sound of cutlery scraping against plates and depressing silence engulfs the room. The lovers are sitting across from each other, but in completey two different worlds.
"So I saw this ad on facebook" Felix ignites a conversation.
"An ad?" Chan asks, without looking up from his plate.
"Well not really like an ad-ad but someone was asking, a college student or something, uh, about accommodation, rent included and stuff. He's looking for a place to stay and I was thinking since we have that extra bedroom, we could help him out you know."
"You want to invite some random stranger into our home? Let him live with us?"
"Well, the house is really quiet and it is an extra form of income kinda? Just think of it like an uncle or aunt staying over."
"The house is quiet? The fuck is that supposed to mean?" Chan grumbles.
"Oh for fuck's sake" Felix says as he picks up his plate, walking to the sink
"You're always trying to start something. I didn't mean it in any way Bangchan. All I'm saying is that I could use some company when you're working."
"Oh, so I'm not enough for you? Even when I'm working my ass off for us?"
"Oh my gosh, I literally never said that, can you fucking stop this. Putting words in my mouth when I'm just trying to TALK TO YOU!" Felix shouted the last bit.
Felix panted slightly, turning on the tap, starting to wash up the dishes.
"You know what, I'm not doing this with you right now, we'll talk about this tommorow." Felix said, his back facing Chan.
