I'm carried into a small, dark room and placed on what appears to be a bed. The adrenaline is wearing off, and all the crying is taking its toll on me, so I gladly collapse into the soft, fresh smelling sheets. I try and stay awake but my eyes are so heavy and this bed is so comfy that I can't help but fall asleep...

I'm woken with a start by someone shaking my shoulder. By instinct I shoot up and throw my arms out in front of me, defensively, bracing myself for a hit.

But of course, no one hits me. All that happens is that I'm met by a sad look from Charles. He rolls his wheelchair a little closer, and leans forward. This is typical Charles body language for 'I have bad news so brace yourself '

He took a deep breath, "Abi-"
"Look," I cut across. "I totally get if you want me to leave; I killed another student, I'm a horrible person, in fact I should be sent to the Pentagon. I'm a-a monster!"

But Charles just shook his head and covered my hand with his. "Abi, you're not a monster, you're just a mutant who's been raised to think like- what do you mean you killed a student?"

"Are you kidding me? Peter. I killed Peter. You saw him, Charles. He was blue...BLUE!"

Charles gives me a sad look, and puts his hands on my shoulders, and looks me in the eye, as if to steady me.

"Abi, Peter is fine; he's in the medical ward resting, he should up and about in a day or two. You needn't worry yourself, it's not good for you or your powers."

"Or those around me and my powers." I shoot back.

"Yes well, you and I are going to have a discussion about further training and control; after we've visited Peter of course."

"What? I doubt he'd like to see me Charles, in fact I'm probably the last person Maximoff would like to see right now!"

"You may be right, but that can't be helped right now, there's something I need to tell you both, in fact, it's rather urgent. Come along."

And with that he rolls out of the room, leaving me on the bed, wondering.
