The next morning I'm blasted out of my soft warm bed by my alarm clock, who's ringing isn't unlike a screaming banshee. I turn over onto my side, push my hair out of my eyes, stretch, and slide out of the covers. I sink my toes into the fluffy green carpet, and yawn. As I look over to the next bed, I notice that Robyn isn't there, and her bed is neatly made. It's then that I notice the time;8:30

And breakfast is 8:00 til 8:45

Shit

I race to grab my green checked mini, my white shirt and my red jumper. Then I slip on my cherry red Doc Martins, and tie my hair into a neat fishtail plait. I'm nearly out the door, when I remember my locket. I flick my fingers and my locket appears, clipped around my neck.

Having powers is awesome

I make my way down to the dining room and wind up getting lost. In the end I have to ask an 11 year-old where it is, but I get there. It's essentially a long hall filled with a assortment of tables and chairs. Along the sides are thinner tables with steaming punnets of food sat on top. I grab a plate and load it up with bacon, lots of it, eggs, toast, and pancakes. Then I pour myself a glass of Orange juice.

I look across the room at the other mutants and eventually find Robyn sitting at a smallish table with two other people. One is a girl with white blonde wavy hair, and the other is a boy with dark blue hair who appears to be Robyn's boyfriend, or at least, that's what I can tell from reading her mind. Whilst I read her, I make my way across the room, trying not to spill anything, but  end up almost bumping into someone.

“Hey!" The guy shouts as I nearly throw my orange juice into his face. He moves out my way quickly. Like really quickly. He sort of becomes a blur of grey hair.  As I struggle to steady myself, he grabs my shoulder before I can do any damage.

I take a look a him, and realize his hair is not grey, as I thought before, but kinda silver. He's wearing a metallic silver jacket, grey jeans, and a black t-shirt. I quickly read him and realize his mutation is speed. Awesome.

I realize after a bit that he's staring at me. Huh, weirdo.

“You're Abigail, right? The new girl?"

“Um yeah! And you are?"

“I'm Peter, Peter Maximoff! I'm your mentor!"

“Uh, mentor?" Who is this dude?

“Yeah y'know, show you around, help you with with homework, that kind of thing!"

“Okaay? But who told you to?"

“Oh, Professor X did."

“Professor X? Oh, you mean Charles!"

“Is that what you call him, Charles?"

“Um yeah. Anyway, dude, my pancakes are getting cold, and I'm hungry, but I'm glad we could have this conversation! I'll see you later K!"

And with that I walk over to Robyn and eat my well deserved pancakes.
