BUT I DON'T THINK I DO THE SAME

AUGUST SUTTON WAS ADOPTED WHEN HE WAS ONE, Micheal and Ella Sutton were a newly wed couple and were excited to start their new life together in their small town of Lima, Ohio. But a heartbreaking discovery lead Ella to learn she was unable to get pregnant, after months of going through the system and constant background checks, the couple had a new member of their family, a little boy whose eyes shined with innocence.

Micheal and Ella were both very successful lawyers, meaning they spent a lot of time out of town or at their respective offices, which left August to grow independent and learn how to take care of himself. That's not to say his parents were neglectful by any means, they were there for their child as much as possible, always caring and accepting of his son no matter what.

So when August came out at the age of fourteen, they both accepted him instantly, Ella was instantly there for her son, reassuring him that he was always loved. Micheal, However, was a little confused at first. He grew up in a very religious household with very old-fashioned views, Nevertheless Micheal tried his hardest to understand his son, but their relationship was always strained after his coming out, as Micheal decided to ignore his sons love life completley.

August had always been a people-pleaser, no matter the situation, he could never say no to others and he hated letting people down.
This trait often lead him to ignoring his own happiness and needs, which always resulted in him crashing, with his way of coping being afflicting physical pain onto himself, being his way to assert some type of control in his life without inconveniencing anyone else.

But when he met Noah Puckerman during his first day of sophmore year, he found that the mohawk-headed boy somehow understood him in a way nobody else could.
