AUGUST WAS SITTING IN THE LIBRARY, reading a book for his history class when Kurt ran up to him, his eyes panicked as he sat down, practically ripping August's book as he took it from him.

"Hi." August greeted, not eager to find out what drama he was going to be pulled into this week.

"So, I need your help." Kurt huffed, out of breath. After a few seconds, he began speaking "So, I told my dad I was on the football team, and I need you to get me a spot on that team."

"Kurt, how did you manage that?" August questioned, goving the brunnette a confused look.

"It doesn't matter but just please, get me on that team! I'll literally do anything!" Kurt begged, his eyes wide and he looked like he was about to cry.

August knew he shouldn't, he knew he should just explain to Kurt that he was already known as the gay football player and this would just ruin his chance at being normal even more, but something about the panicked look on Kurts face made August sigh.

"Okay, I'll help." August agreed, giving him a wide smile "Lets figure out what we can do."

It was the first glee rehearsal of the week and August was in no mood. His week was already off to a terrible start, he had to get Kurt on the football team and Sam was still ghosting him, and it was only Monday. August murmered out a little thank you as Mr Schue handed him some sheet music.

"Excuse me, this isn't the right key." Rachel spoke up, standing up and walking towards Mr Schue.

"No. It's actually the right key." Mr Schue sighed, taking a deep breath. "No, no, this is the alto part." Rachel persisted, confident she was right.

August let out a small sigh as he prepared to watch another one of Rachels meltdowns, which was going to end in her singing a dramatic song about love.

"Yep. Tina's doing the solo." Mr Schue explained, pointing to the girl, who smiled shyly

"I'm sorry, there must be some sort of mix up. I thought I made it very clear that anything from "West Side Story" goes to me. Maria is my part! Natalie Wood was a Jew, you know. I've had a very deep, personal connection to this role since the age of one." Rachel continued, not planning on giving up on this part

"Well, I'm trying to shake things up a bit. Get us out of our boxes." Mr Schue remarked, giving her a sarcastic smile.

"Hey Rachel, maybe we should-" August spoke up, intending on calming down the girl.

"Shut up." Rachel interjected, giving him a glare before turning back to Mr Schue. "You're trying to punish me."

"I think you're being irrational." Mr Schue sighed, his irritation rising "I think you're being unfair!" the brunnette persisted

"I think you're being unfair to Tina, who might have been happy about getting her first solo."

"Tina knows how much I respect her and I think she would agree with me that she's not ready for such an iconic role as Maria." Rachel sighed, her compliments back-handed.
