Ruby was just an ordinary person. 

An ordinary person with an ordinary job, ordinary friends and an ordinary life.

That was until she decided to sleep in for once in her life. 

Ruby was exhausted, she had a 10 hour shift the day before and was happy to finally have the weekend off. However, a crash outside of her house interrupted her well deserved rest.

"For once, can't I just get to do something for myself" She said, getting out of bed and making the stupid decision of investigating the noise. 

Obviously, Ruby had standards, so she got dressed out of her pjs in case it was someone fairly attractive making noise outside. Ruby was the lonely sort, someone who didn't have the guts to ask anyone out but would dress up, flirt and basically throw herself at any hot guy who offered.....not in the weird way though. Just in the lonely way. 

Ruby reached her front door and was ready to shoo away any cat or racoon of some sort that was disturbing her sleep. Instead she found a 6ft man made out of some kind of metal with an emotionless face. 

"Sorry, I'm not in the mood to hear about any clubs, thanks" She said, closing the door on the strange man.

After a second of silence, the door came flying off its hinges, causing Ruby to scream in shock.

"Okay, listen, whatever you're after, you've got the wrong person. I don't have anything of value to you!" Ruby yelled, trying to reason with the man, who responded in a very odd way.

"DELETE!" The metal man said, entering the house.

"I don't understand" Ruby said in an almost pleading tone.

"DELETE!" He stepped closer to her, reaching his hand out.

"Just tell me what you want!" She yelled, backing herself against the wall.

"YOU WILL BE DELETED!" He said, inches from grabbing her shoulder and doing God knows what to her.

That was when, suddenly, a hand grabbed her wrist and pulled her away from the metal man. It was another man, he was around the same height as the other guy so Ruby assumed they were in on some kind of prank together.

"Okay, whatever sick joke this, I want no part in it so just go away!" She said, everything that was going on was staring to freak her out a little. 

"This isn't a joke" The other man said, slowly helping her back away from the silver man.

"Then who are you, both of you?" She asked, confused.

"WE ARE THE CYBERMEN" The Cyberman replied.

"What do you mean we?" The other man asked before his question was quickly answered by another man in silver entering Ruby's home behind the first Cyberman.

"What do we do now?" Ruby asked the man who still had a hold of her wrist.

He took a minute to assess the situation before giving her one simple instruction.

"Run"

The man then grasped her hand before sprinting out the open back door which then became obvious to Ruby that it was how the tall man got into her house. As the two escaped through her back garden, they noticed more Cybermen flooding the streets and invading houses to murder or kidnap people. 

"Where can we go?" Ruby asked, seeing most of the exits of the street being blocked by walls of metal men.

"I have a place we can go, follow me" He said, running past Cybermen towards the woods.
