Chapter 17

day 2 of mission

After their little incident, Mateo and Brigitta insisted we pack up and get going. Bri went to wake up Yamileth and we followed the path to the gem once again. "Alright please start looking out for Bandini Archway," Bri said not stopping for a second.                                                                                    "And what does that look like Gi Gi?" Mateo teased.                                                                                               "An archway, Mateo, an archway," Bri replied, smirking. Seb gave a 'what the heck' look and I returned it with a 'I have no idea' look.

We continued, Mateo occasionally pushing Bri which results in him getting pelted with punches and slaps. I glided around on my water platform, doing loop de loops. "Seriously Annalise?" Yamileth said nervously, afraid that she would fall off. "There is nothing to be scared of, it's magic!" I said laughing.

"Are you drunk Anna?" Seb said chuckling, putting an arm on my shoulder. I rolled my eyes at him, "No I am not drunk, and step away your fire rocket boosters are evaporating my platform," I gently pushed him with 1 hand. He shook his head still smiling and inched away. 

"Guys, what is that?" Mateo pointed to a white glowing dot coming closer to us. I squinted my eyes, trying to see past the light, but all I could make out were wings. The glowing dot reached Bri, stopped and then zoomed around her, squeaking. Bri waved her hands, a big gust of wind blew my hair all over the place and the light dot got stuck in a mini tornado. But it soon dispersed when we heard a tiny voice.

"Hey! What's your problem?!" the dot said. Except, it was no longer a dot, the light around it had dimmed to reveal a little human with wings. "Who are you? What are you?" Bri said, poking the winged creature. "Would you stop that!" it squeaked and pushed Bri's finger away, "I am an Air Pixie, 1 of many. My name is Saanvi Blood. Yeah like the thing inside your bodies, my ancestors were weird folk. Anyways, nice to meet you Madam Air,"

Saanvi bowed her head and spread out her arms. "Oh please don't call me that and no need to bow either," Bri cupped her hands and collected the pixie, "Why are you here, Saanvi? Isn't there some magical forest where pixies stay in?" Saanvi gestured to everything around her. Everything in sight was tree so technically, we are in a forest and it was enchanted. "I came here to help you, as an Air Pixie we protect the gem. If anyone other than the Elementals took the gems off their podiums, every quadrant would start to break and Stoll would cease to exist," Saanvi closed her eyes, "I'll lead you to it, there is a faster route than what the maps tell you, but, it will be far more dangerous,"
