It had been a day of driving and Theodore was getting tired. Leonard had since woken up and Priya was quiet. Theodore was anxious and worried. The love of his life was carrying his child; she was very sick and weak. Furthermore, the police were close to finding them. It was only a matter of days before Theodore would have to pay for his crimes.

Theodore took a deep breath and focused on the road. He glanced at the back to find his wife staring out the window and Leonard fiddling with his thumbs. 

"Priya, are you alright?" Leonard whispered, leaning over to her. "We need to get you out of here."

Priya was in a daze. She didn't care about anything he said or where Theodore was taking her. All she could think about was the baby that was growing inside her. Her new mission was to protect her child. At the same time, she couldn't help but feel guilty for trying to take away her life.

"I am a criminal. I'm a horrible person for trying to hurt my baby." She whimpered.

"Who told you that? You are certainly far from being a criminal. Don't think about it." Leonard harshly whispered, holding her hand as a way of comfort. "I need to get you to a doctor. Theodore has gone nuts. How did you even end up here?"

"He kidnapped me, married me, and now I'm carrying his child."

Leonard's heart broke from her words. As a doctor in a public hospital, he got a few cases where the same thing happened, but being part of it certainly gave him a new perspective. The past two days have been filled with unfortunate surprises.

"How old are you? "he inquired. She looked so young, much younger than Theodore. She couldn't be older than twenty-five.

"I'm seventeen."

"What the hell!"

Leonard's clenched his fists in anger. Theodore was a horrible man, on the outside, he was shy, but underneath, he was the devil himself. Leonard had ethics and morals, but this man made him want to gut him. How could Theodore lay hands on a minor? A minor for fuck's sake! Leonard needed to get her out of there.

"Look, he is my husband and this is now my life. Despite what he has done, he has been good to me. He loves me. He will protect me from the police," Priya said, staring into Leonard's eyes.

This poor girl had her whole life taken from her because of this delusional man. He had to help her.  Leonard looked out the window thinking of every possible way to escape. He was stronger and quicker than Theodore, but he couldn't do anything tied up.

"Priya, untie me," Leonard said quietly. He prayed that this weak girl had some sanity left in her to save herself.

"Please don't make me do this!" She whimpered. Priya didn't want to be punished by Theodore and didn't want to escape. She would end up in jail or be executed for her crimes. Why couldn't this man see that!? Why did he want to ruin everything?

"I'll get us out of here. You and your baby need medical attention!" He pleaded. "Theodore is lying to you. You won't go to jail!"

Priya wiped back her tears and nodded. Anything for her child. Her mission was to protect the child, and Leonard promises to help her. Her mind was torn apart, what is she supposed to do?
Taking a deep breath, Priya slowly unties the ropes.

Theodore heard a noise from the backseat, so he turned to see what was happening. Leonard was removing the untied ropes from his hands, Priya watching him in fear.

"Priya, what have you done!" Theodore exclaimed. Theodore pulled his gun from his pocket and pulled the car over. He quickly got out of the car and ran to Leonard's side. Leonard quickly jumped out of the car. Priya stayed inside, huddled away from the window, her hands covering her ears.
