"Hey, Leonard! It's Theo." Theo said wearily through the phone.

"Hello Theo, it's been a while. How's your mother?" Leonard said through the phone. Theodore and Leonard met at Theo's old job at the tech shop. They shared a lot of the same interests and since Leonard was a doctor, he was more than glad to become the primary physician for the family. Leonard always found Theodore strange but didn't think too much of it. He was very much younger than Theodore as well. He was thirty-four, so Leonard respected Theodore and the wisdom he gave him.

Leonard Silas was a handsome man. He was 6'7 and inherited his mother's Nordic features. Ice blue eyes and blonde hair. He was a runner, so he kept a pretty lean physique. Leo was a firm believer in veganism so that contributed to his lean but strong body. He could have any girl or guy he wanted, but Leonard cared about his job more than anything. He wanted to help people and nurse them back to health. It was the only thing that brought him joy.

"She is dead. Anyways, a friend of mine is severely sick. She gave herself an abortion and is losing a lot of blood. She refuses to go to a hospital, could you check her out?"

Leonard was taken aback by Theo's words. His mother was dead and his "friend" had a failed abortion. He set aside his shock and started to pack his medical things. It was raining hard outside and the roads were starting flood. but Leonard was compelled by kindness and respect for the senior man to help out his friend.

"Sure, just send me the address."

"Please hurry," Theodore said, before hanging up the phone. He turned to look back at his wife. Priya was still bleeding pretty badly and he was afraid that she was losing too much. Theodore went to the bathroom cabinet and grabbed a washcloth from the shelf. He gently wiped up the warm blood from her smooth legs, guilt eating away at him like tar.

Everything was falling apart. Priya tried to kill their child. The police were slowly gaining steam and it is only a matter of time before they find them. The only thing that could save them right now is time, which was completely out of their control. As for Leonard, Theodore would need to knock him unconscious right after he examined Priya. Theodore didn't want any more blood on his hands, and besides,  Leonard would be a great help through the pregnancy. He just needed to keep him tied up.

After a few minutes, the doorbell rang.

Theo quickly got up, he grabbed the last syringe of anesthesia, knife, and rope and hid it behind the toilet. He then went to open the front door.

"Hello Leonard," Theodore said, shaking his head.

"Hey Theo, where is she?" Leonard said, stepping out of the rain and into Theo's new home. He removed his shoes and raincoat. Just by glancing around, Leonard could tell the house was well-kept and very neat. Everything was orderly and the floors were sparkling clean. Leonard knew Theodore wasn't this neat.

It was obvious another person lived here with him.

Leonard silently followed Theodore to the mysterious girl. Theodore slowly opened the bathroom door to reveal a young girl. She looked much younger than him but was insanely beautiful. But, she looked very weak and frail, almost malnourished. His eyes trailed down to her legs which were covered in blood. This girl was very desperate in her attempt to get rid of the baby.  Theodore noticed Leonard staring at his wife.

"Let's make this quick, I need to take her to her mother. Her mother couldn't make it because of a car accident." Theodore said, making a lie on the spot. He needed to leave this house as soon as possible because the police were on their tail.

Leonard nodded and quickly got to work.

"Detective Lopez, we are at the pharmacy. We have the security camera tapes. A couple of officers just finished interviewing the cashier. It seems like he bought a pregnancy test." The officer said. A few police cars surrounded the pharmacy, conducting procedural investigations.
