"Hey bitch." Rebecca said, putting her bony arm over Priya. Her minions surround the pair, laughing without control.

Priya decided to walk home from school. It was a beautiful day and her house was like a mile away. It was good exercise. However, Rebecca and her minions had other plans.

"What do you want?" Priya said, rolling her eyes. She removed Rebecca's arm over her back.

"Nothing, I'm here to put you back in place. It seems like you grew a pair. I'm gonna teach you a lesson." She said, shoving Priya to the ground.

Priya knew she couldn't defend herself from five girls who were on the wrestling team. She was no match. Screaming was pointless because they were in a quiet wooded area. She was fucked. But, she wasn't going to back down.

"Fuck off," Priya shouted, quickly getting up.

"No. You need to learn  how to be more obedient and submissive to me." Rebecca said, ripping off Priya's shirt. Her friends started to take pictures of her.

Priya immediately covered her chest with her arms, but it did nothing to hide it. She fell to the ground, unable to handle the shame and embarrassment.

"The next time you disrespect me, I'm gonna post these pictures." She said, crouching down to her level. She looked to her friends, "Ladies, let's show Priya who's in charge."

Her friends started to kick her and punch her. Rebecca simply watched and laughed at her abuse.
Priya prayed for anyone to come and save her, and as if on cue, a young man approached the group.

"Ladies, you do know that what you are doing is punishable by federal law." The man said, making eye contact with each one.

"Keep on moving. This is none of your business." Rebecca answered back, glaring at him.

"Actually, as the owner of this property, this is my business. I have the police on speed dial, so if you don't stop, you will be sleeping in a prison cell tonight." He answered back.

The girls immediately backed away from Priya and ran off into the distance.

The man went to Priya and helped her up. Priya's first thought was "he's hot as fuck." He was like 6'7 and very strong and muscular. He had soft brown curls and stormy grey eyes. His arms were coated with tattoos. He was giving bad-boy vibes. But no matter how hot the guy is, he was still a stranger. Furthermore, she was topless in front of the sexy beast.

"Thank you so much, but I should be on my way," Priya said, struggling to get up. Her whole body was in pain. She couldn't even move.

"Let me take you home." The man said. "By the way, I'm Adrian." He said, helping her up. "I think I deserve to know the name of the lady I saved."

"Actually. no, you don't, Adrian. For all I know, no offence, you could be a gangster or something."

"Do I look like a gangster?"

"Yes." She muttered.

"Well, you're not wrong." He chuckled. "Now do you wanna go home or do you wanna be stuck here waiting to be beaten up again."

She rolled her eyes and let Adrian help her walk. He helped her into his car and put her seatbelt on. Here Priya was, sitting in the car of a gangster, who most likely was about to murder her and throw her body into the lake.

Adrian gave her his phone. "Put your address in." Priya typed the address in and was relieved that it was like ten minutes from where she was. It should be a short ride.

During the car ride, Adrian kept glancing over at Priya. He had given her an extra T-shirt to cover up. She was really beautiful, but as a gangster, he didn't have time for love or a relationship. His romantic escapades consisted of one-night stands and that was pretty much it. He wasn't much of a relationship guy anyway. In this white state, most of the girls that he fucked had blonde hair and blue eyes. Priya was like a breath of fresh air. Long and thick black hair, wide doe eyes, and a beautiful body. The girls who were beating her up were most likely jealous of her natural looks and kind spirit. Ultimately, Adrian couldn't let her go.

"You can pull up right here," she said, pointing to a driveway. She collected her things and as she was about to open the door, Adrian held her arm.

"The next time those fuckers try to mess with you, let me know. Gimme your phone," he said, taking the phone from her hand. He put in his number. and for the contact name he put "Savior."

Priya took her phone and looked at the name contact name. She looked at it and smiled.

"She smiles," he said, staring at her beautiful smile. She rolled her eyes.

"Shut up and thank you," she said, taking her leave. Adrian prayed that she would call him. He looked at her one last time before she disappeared into the security of her house.

Priya suddenly remembered that she had to work at Mr. Ferguson home, however, she was too traumatized to go. She didn't feel like going, besides she was in too much pain to move anywhere.

"Thank god mom is not here. She would go crazy." she thought to herself, as she climbed the stairs. Every step sent a piercing pain through her ribs and stomach. She could handle the pain and it wasn't too unbearable.

She collapsed onto her bed and texted Theodore.

Hey! I can't come today. I'm so sorry for the last-minute notice.

She got an immediate reply from Theodore.

No worries. Is everything okay?

Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just not feeling well.  I'll come in tomorrow.

Alright, hope you feel better.

Theodore groaned in frustration. He missed her tremendously, even though only a few days passed. He went downstairs to tell Rose.

"Mother, Priya won't be coming in today," he told her. Rose was laying down on her bed, sipping on a cup of tea. Rose had come down with a pretty bad cold and wasn't recovering. He severely worried. He wanted to take her to the hospital but Rose refused to leave the home.

"You're not getting any better are you." he said, checking her temperature. "We need to get you to a hospital." he insisted.

"Theodore, I refuse to step out of the house." she said, sharply. Rose knew that she was going to die soon. Her life was over. She didn't want to get better. She wanted to die in peace. She lived longer than most, she knew her time has come. She knew in her heart this would ruin Theodore, but Theodore gave up his life to take care of her. He needed to go and start a family, and she was getting in the way.

"Alright, I'm going to go get the groceries." he said, getting his coat and keys. He gave one look at his sick mother and left the home.
