"Milk, eggs, tomatoes, and oatmeal," he said, reading off his grocery list. As he was reading the list, he accidentally bumped into someone."Sorry," he said, staring at the man in front of him. He was a tall, muscular man with brown hair and grey eyes. This man could beat up Theodore in a matter of seconds.
"No worries man. You're good," he said, moving past him. For some reason, Theodore felt as if he knew Priya. Priya would choose this muscular beast over him. He was just being delusional. That man wouldn't be able to provide for Priya. He would fuck her and dump her on the street. Theodore was the only one who truly loved her.
He bought his groceries and returned to his little brown home.

Priya returned to their home the next day. Adrian had texted her throughout the day and made sure she was ok. It was obvious that Adrian liked her. However, Priya could never believe it. Why would someone like him be interested in a plain girl like her?
"Hello, Theodore? Rose?" she said, knocking on the door. She waited in front of the door for a few minutes before Theodore opened it. At that moment, Priya was like a breath of fresh air. His life was so hectic but she was that peace he so desperately needed. She was wearing a pink tank top and a short skirt. Priya noticed that Theodore was staring at her outfit.
"Oh, I'm sorry for not wearing something more appropriate. I'm going somewhere with a friend after this," she said. She kept forgetting that they were elderly people and not her friends.
Theodore didn't know how to respond. He simply nodded and let her in. Her outfits were always a tease. He just wanted to rip them off.
"My mother is sick. She refuses to go to the hospital, so if you convince her, that would be great," he said, following her. His eyes glued on her plump ass. He was amazed at how it shook with every step.
Priya entered Rose's room. She was pale and translucent, barely breathing. She had seen her a few days ago, and she was alive and thriving. But now, in front of her, lay a corpse. A soulless corpse. The vibrancy and happiness that embodied Rose were replaced with the shadow of a smile.
"Rose!" Priya exclaimed, rushing to her side. She checked her temperature and it was below 60 degrees.
"You are sick. We need to get you to a hospital," she said. During the time Priya was with Rose, she learned so many life lessons and gained so much wisdom. She was like a second grandmother. Losing her would hurt Priya in so many ways.
"My dear, Priya, my time has come," she said, taking Priya's hand. "I get to die in peace, surrounded by my favourite people in the whole world," she said, weakly.
"Theodore, my only child, you have remained very loyal to me. I love you, son. Take care of Priya, she is a very lovely girl." she said. She slowly turned her head to face Priya. "Priya, my sweet girl, be wise and don't make any foolish and hasty decisions."
Priya's eyes filled with tears. "Rose, don't leave." Rose breathed her last breath.
Theodore stared in shock. His mother was dead. The only person who cared for him had stopped breathing. He turned to look at Priya who was in utter shock as well. In that instant, Priya started to cry, so Theodore comforted her. He sat next to her, letting Priya cry into her shirt. Theodore savoured the warmth of her body against his. His arms fit perfectly around her soft curves.
They stayed in each other's arms for a while. Priya felt bad for Theodore. He was alone. Priya had her family and Adrian, Theodore didn't have anyone. Deep in her thoughts, a car honk brought her out.
