Aizawa stood a good dozen meters away from the shallow crater, the heat too high for anyone but Todoroki to safely experience. Not that they would have joined him anyway. He looked away from the shallow crater and pulled out his phone and called Nezu.
"What happened?" Came the strained voice of Nezu.
"Endeavour is gone; blew himself up in an attempt to take Shigaraki with him. The warp gate villain managed to get him, the giant, and any others nearby to safety, unfortunately." He said.
There was a brief pause from Nezu before he continued, "I see... However, I'm getting reports that the warp gate villain opened gates all across the city and many of the remaining enemy forces retreated through them. Endeavor's sacrifice may not have eliminated Shigaraki, but he did at least end the threat to the city. I'd like you to head back up into the northern districts and work on taking care of any remaining resistance." Nezu said.
"Understood," Aizawa said, hanging up and turning to the class.
"We are heading back north. The enemy has retreated and all that remains are some isolated groups, we'll be working with other heroes and law enforcement to bring in whoever was left behind." Aizawa called out to the class.
The class started to slowly make its way away from the crater, many shooting glances to the crater where Todoroki still stood alone. As Momo passed him he caught her arm, holding her back.
"Yaoyorozu, I want to stay here and let Todoroki know where we've gone. He won't be coming with us, if his focus slips in a fight he could die. Just stay here with him, he shouldn't be left alone either." He said quietly.
Momo merely nodded and stayed put as the rest of the class started to make their way north once more.

It took them longer than they thought, but it couldn't be helped. Eventually, they arrived at a street that looked like it had once been filled with businesses, and Ochako could imagine the street filled with people going from store to store, or going to get a meal. Now it was anything but, the buildings had been ravaged by quirks and burned by fire. The street was so clogged with debris that it would take a long time to clear it all out. It wasn't just debris that littered the roads though. She could see limbs sticking out from underneath some of the piles of debris and corpses everywhere. Some were scattered about, some in small piles.
It must have been one of the first points to be invaded and the hardest hit. Despite the horrific sight though, it didn't fully register in her mind. She just gazed over it; detached from the feelings it brought. In the distance, she could hear the sounds of fighting further ahead and they pressed on. No one said a word as they clambered over rubble and stepped in dark sticky puddles.
Eventually, they moved past the gruesome scene and went down street after street, the sound of fighting growing ever louder. Then they turned a corner and were confronted with another nightmare.
The past few streets had decreased in damage as they moved further west along the city's northern border. This must have been where a group of villains, unable to get through the portals in time, decided to make their stand. There was a small mountain sprouting out of the street, spewing fire and molten materials. It landed on the sides of buildings, lighting them on fire, and forcing the people cowering inside to flee out of them and into the battle happening in the street.
People were screaming and running everywhere, all the while the police, the QSU, and heroes battled it out with a group of tough-looking villains and two nomu. One of the Nomu was missing an arm but still going strong, attacking anything near it with mindless ferocity. Whatever reasoning it had retained after becoming a nomu had vanished and it was nothing more than an out-of-control monster. As she watched, the nomu even pelted one of its villain allies into a group of police trying to coral civilians.
