Shoto didn't know how to act around his father, at least not anymore. It had been easier when he had hated both him and his quirk. Easier to take every opportunity to snub him. But ever since he had come to accept his quirk, he had started to view his father differently. He still hated him, but he had started to wonder... Had his father always been this way?
As he had gotten more experience with his fire, he had realized just how intoxicating the feeling of that power was. Of course, he wanted to be stronger, but he wondered if his father had started out similar to himself. Wanting to become stronger for something noble, but that noble reason becoming lost to him over time. He feared, deep down, he may one day become just like his father.
But after the death of All Might, after Deika City, after discovering Touya was Dabi... He had seen his father change. Bit by bit, his father started working toward being better. He had apologized to his family, something no one had ever expected.
The result was that now, Shoto just wasn't sure what to think of him. So for the entirety of the time he spent cooling down his father, he kept trying to think of something to say. Yet nothing felt right, though, them being in the middle of a warzone might have had something to do with that.
Then the shaking started and his father went up to the sky, and whatever he saw caused him to jet back toward the inner city. He recalled the giant that was supposedly waiting outside the city.
He ran to where Aizawa was talking with the QSU officer from earlier.
"- straight into the city, the building might as well not exist." he heard the QSU officer saying.
"Damn... it might be heading to the school," Aizawa said, reaching into a pocket and retrieving his phone, and dialing.
"Todoroki, grab everyone else and form up," Aizawa said before the call was answered.
"Nezu, that giant might be heading to the school." Aizawa started saying as Todoroki ran off and waved for everyone to come to him.
"What's happening?" Momo asked as she ran up.
Todoroki waited for everyone to form up before replying.
"That giant we heard that was watching from the outskirts just started running into the city. It might be heading to the school." He said.
There were several cries of alarm and worry.
"We need eyes on the giant, Todoroki, can you fly up and see what's happening?" Momo asked.
"I can try but I'm not that used to flying yet." He said.
"I got it," Ochako said, walking up and tapping him on the shoulder.
Immediately he started floating upward.
"Thanks," he said, before using a small amount of fire to send him rapidly upward.
As he crested the tops of buildings he saw in the distance, the giant and a burning comet parallel to it. He sent himself back down, where Ochako released him, just as Aizawa come over.
"What did you see?" Aizawa asked.
"The giant and Endeavor are racing toward the center area of the city," Todoroki said.
"Not toward the school then..." He said thoughtfully, his eyes narrowing as he tried to quickly work out the villain's aim.
"Sir!" Came a voice from behind Aizawa.
The group turned to see one of the QSU officers jogging over to them.
"We have visual confirmation that the giant is transporting several people on his back. All high-ranking members of the League and ex-members of the Liberation Front. Shigaraki is confirmed to be among them, as well as Twice, Dabi, and Re-Destro." He said rapidly but clearly.
