If you were to ask anyone in the hall, no one would deny that Yuno and Letheia's battle was one of the most — if not, the most — intense in this year's exam. In fact, even after others started battling, no one could shut up about the incredible amount of mana they've seen come from a peasant and the strange magic that was used by the other girl.

Heck, even the Salim Hapshass' battle wasn't as interesting as the pair's.

Of course, Letheia wouldn't know about the constant chatter about their battle as she had been stuck in the medical room for the rest of the final test.

She was already healed, of course, she had even changed out of the damaged outfit she had worn. It was a good thing she brought a spare with her. In fact, she looked good as new, as if she hadn't just been impaled a couple of minutes earlier.

No, what kept her in the medical room was her constant questions about the captains and their backgrounds. If she was going to be a part of a squad, she had to at least know about the captains that were going to be leading her. She even learned about the reputations of each squad as the healers were all too generous about the information they gave.

Apparently, if she wanted to be the best, the Golden Dawn was the best option to be in as they were the leading magic knight squad. Although it was also apparently very hard to be accepted in. Letheia also learned that the name of one of her childhood saviors was William Vangeance.

The next best squads were apparently the Silver Eagles and the Crimson Lions, led by Nozel Silva and Fuegoleon Vermillion respectively. Both were royalty, but Letheia already knew that of course. History and politics were the subjects that Ms. Hera was the most adamant on teaching her. Although she was informed by the healers that the Silver Eagles apparently only accepted nobles or royalty — which was ridiculous in Letheia's opinion.

Then there was the Blue Rose Knights Squad which mostly consisted of women and was led by Charlotte Roselei, a noblewoman who has strong values and beliefs, and didn't like to depend on men.

The Green Mantises, led by Jack the Ripper. Letheia questioned why he was called that and the healers replied that he was given the title as his magic could cut anything. Letheia wondered why he was called "ripper" instead of "cutter", but she guessed that "Jack the Cutter" didn't sound as menacing.

The Coral Peacocks were led by Dorothy Unsworth, who was a witch that apparently always sleeps. Letheia did see that one of the captains had their eyes closed and wondered how she became a captain if she always slept. She also silently marveled at how she could sleep while walking — to the intended destination, mind you — and could still sleep around a noisy environment. She now wished that she had that talent.

Then there was the Aqua Deers. The squad that her father wanted her to get into. It was led by Rill Boismortier, a chipper, 19 year-old noble who's very passionate about painting. She didn't know about the painting part so that was interesting to hear about. In this world full of magic, it's hard to find individuals that are passionate on something other than becoming stronger, money, or power.

The Purple Orcas was led by Gueldre Poizot. He's apparently very rich and has bad rumors circulating around how he got his fortune, but Letheia doubted them considering that he is a magic knight squad captain. She certainly thinks that the Wizard King wouldn't assign someone like that as captain.

And lastly, there was the Black Bulls. As she expected, Letheia heard a lot of unflattering things about the Black Bulls and their captain, Yami Sukehiro. It was mostly about how they were very destructive, rowdy, and always caused trouble wherever they went.
