At First Sight

Chapter 6

Lura's POV

The car starts to move and I lay back and relax I close my eyes and think about the days me and my mother would always go. I remember when we went to the café across the street and I would always get vanilla ice cream and she would get a black coffee. She would always put ice cream on my nose and the coldness made me laugh. The car stops and guesses we are here. "Alright Lura we are here."

    I open the door and unbuckle myself I get out from the car and I feel the cool breeze and people yelling, dogs barking, cats meowing. It sounds so soothing listening to all the noises. I hear a little bark and it sounds like a puppy coming near me. It jumped on me, and I fell to the ground holding the puppy in my arms "Runa come here girl" I heard Takahashi say and then the dog got off me. I laugh. So, this is Takahashi's dog, its fur was unbelievably soft and warm. "Lura this is Runa she is my dog and now she is yours" I gasp "Do you really mean that?" I then sit on the grass and pat my leg "come here Runa."

    I feel the dog jump on my lap and lick my face "okay, okay stop that Runa" so, her name is Runa in English that means Luna that is so cute, and she is so sweet. I lay down on the grass and feel the cool breeze and all the noise. The dog lays on my stomach I hear Takahashi laughing "what is so funny? Hmm Takahashi" I listen to where his voice is and I grab him and pull him too the ground. He stops laughing and I laugh "Gotcha" It is fun out here I start laughing so hard and then I see my eyes becoming blurry and not black. I gasp, no way I can see even though it is a blur "Takahashi I can see but it's a blur" I see the park looking all green and the blue sky.

    It is so pretty, everything is blurry, but I can still see I stand up and look around. I start walking and see dogs playing and cats running away from dogs. I laugh I turn around and look at Takahashi and Runa sitting next to him with her head to the side. I look at Takahashi and see him looking at me, but I still cannot really see him. He still looks good I can see he has black hair and brown eyes and is young.

    "I never knew you were so young Takahashi you look good" He laughs being here with Takahashi and forgetting about the past is helping me regain my sight. I look out at the cars and there zooming fast I see the café me and my mother use to go to it still looks the same. It has not changed one bit "Takahashi can we go to the café across the street, please" I see him stand up and walk to me. I cannot believe it. I can see this makes me so happy I feel a tear slip from my face. He grabs my hand and we walk to the café we watch for cars and when no cars coming we run to the other side of the street.

    I open the door and walk into the café I see the board and see it changed a little but it still the same and there are more ice cream flavors. I walk around and go to the booth me and my mother would always sit at. I still see the writing we wrote on the wall it saying *this spot is ours baby always remember that*. I sit down in the booth and Takahashi comes over "Takahashi can you get us some ice cream I want a Vanilla mixed with chocolate" he nods his head. He walks up to the desk and orders what I asked He is so sweet im happy he chose to help me because now I can see a little and it feels so good.
