Ugh after hours in the remake centre being treated like a piece of meat I'm back sitting with finnick in the huge lounge on our districts floor . Him and mags are telling us that we need to show of in training and get in with the careers , I would have thought this was obvious and already had that as part of my plan but the girl next to me seems to be completely oblivious , Stephanie I think is her name she's dumb , arrogant , couldnt protect her self if she was armed with weapons and she's not much to talk to either , nothing compared to rue . Oh dam I've been trying not to think of rue and trying to consentrait but part of my mind never stops thinking about her and I know this is really cheesy and totally childish considering I haven't ever spoken to her I think I might just love her.
'oscar , OSCAR ' finnick yells at me after seeing me daydream
'um yeh sorry I'm just really tired' I lie , it's just lucky I'm excellent at lieing , not that that's a good thing but it does come in handy
' ok then , try and get some rest though training tomorrow and you need to be on top form ' he says in a rough voice but smiles afterwords showing I'm of the hook.
Training
I'm woken up by mags tapping on my door saying something like five minutes till training in her mumbled drawl.
I get up and quickly change into the light and comfortable training uniform with a four on it and rush down to breakfast , I grab a muffin and notice queen stephanie isn't up yet , oh well knowing her she probably won't even want to go to training. Whatever it's not my problem just a couple minutes until I can see rue , I can't help wonder if she will have noticed me , I mean other girls notice me I'm good looking for my age I don't mean in a cocky way it's just something I've alway been told , my mom says I get it from my dads side , in a way I'm hoping she will be horrible and boring to talk to , laugh like donkey or something , something to put me of her anything to stop me thinking of her twenty four seven.
Going into the training centre I look around for rue but she isn't there , it's then I realise no one else is either looking at the clock I'm about ten minutes early . Almost making me jump the doors open , oh lucky me its the careeres , well I smile at them and head to the knife station if I'm going to get into there team I need to prove myself . At first they don't notice me but they soon turn around when they realise I've hit every target bang on in under twenty seconds , now,I'm noticed let my work begin
