THE DINNER TABLE TABEL WAS YET AGAIN QUIET.Maddison's parents still didn't know wether or not Maddison joined the glee club,they made it very clear they didn't support the decision,so she never bothered to tell them.

"Have you had another thought on the chess club?"Her mother asked.

"I,um."Maddison cleared her throat, "I actually got into the glee club."

"And you didn't think to tell us!"her father snapped.

"You made it clear you weren't happy with my decision,I didn't think you would want to know."

"Don't be like that Maddison."her mother shook her head.

"I-I wasn't."Maddison started to speak up but got cut off by her mother again.

"Don't talk back."

"Whatever"Maddison muttered to herself before she went back to sitting in silence.

sometimes she wished she was a child again,when her parents were too busy to talk to her,because now every conversation they have always somehow gets turned around to talk about what Maddison had done wrong,or how Maddison could do better,they were never satisfied,with anything she did,no matter how hard she tried.

Maddison had only been in the glee club for about two days,but she had started to enjoy it a lot more then she thought she would.She had started talking more,slightly,to Mercedes and Tina anyway,even if it was just because they took pity on her,she didn't know but she didn't care,she was just happy to be included.

To say her first day was awkward would be an understatement,the girl barely said one word the whole time,the only time she did say something was when Rachel asked her what she thought and even then she only let out two words.

The second day was actually a lot easier,Mercedes and Tina included her in their conversations,which eased the girl,it wasn't like she didn't have the ability to talk to people,she just wasn't fond on it.It was also decided that she would now go by Maddie,it came out by accident during a conversation but Maddison didn't bother correcting them,she liked the thought of having a sort of 'nickname'.

By the third day she got kind of excited whenever she knew it would be time for rehearsal,although it was nothing like she thought it would be,with it being the girls against guys not much work had actually gone into rehearsing.The only person who was taking it serious was Rachel.

"We need to get started."Rachel Berry walked into the dance studio to see the other girls sitting doing nothing.

"We could do this in our sleep,do you think those six dudes are going to give us any competition."Mercedes stated as she painted Tina's nails. "I say we wing it."

"We can't just wing it,"Rachel lowered her voice thinking Maddie couldn't hear her,"I mean we don't even know if the new girl can sing,what if she messes up our chance."
