"Willy?" You whisper, nuzzling impossibly close to his chest, feeling his warm breath on your forehead, his slim fingers gently playing with your scattered hair. "Hm?" He hums, sunk into an unfamiliar state of relaxation, a comforting, intoxicating warmth he could only experience when lying in your arms. Pulling away slightly, so your eyes meet his soft, breathtaking scarlet eyes, "Do I make you happy?" You question, sparing him a shy, expectant smile. For a moment his eyes widen slightly, he looks at you confounded and puzzled, as if your question was the most obvious thing in the world. But then, his gaze softens, and he crawls closer, until there is no gap between your bodies, filling your blushful cheeks with kisses. "Oh, darling" he coos, "You make me the happiest man alive" he confesses between kisses, cradling your face in his hands so, so sweetly, "Having you by my side is such a blessing, (Y/n)" And even though William was a fairly affectionate husband and would always show you his love for you, this kind of vocal confirmation was not as common for him. And that has your heart beating so loud, so fast you can't help but giggle or else your chest will burst. Finally, you remain in each other's loving embrace, untill your eyelids feel heavier and heavier, lips still pressed against his jaw. "I love you"
