Dark. Very dark. I can't see. I hear something. It sounds like... crying. I begin to run to the source. I see her, sitting on the ground, face in her hands. I run to her, and the world around me goes from dark to light. I'm on the rooftop again. I reach out to her, but something is stopping me. She looks at me, and shakes her head. And... she jumps. I hear it all. The screams of the crowd below us, the police sirens, the wet slap of her body hitting the pavement. It's horrifying. I scream, but something is caught in my throat. I try to reach out and rewind, but something.... someone, stops me. They're completely dark, I can't see their face. The figure puts it's hands around my neck. I hear a sickening snapping sound, and my world begins to go dark. As my vision fades, I hear her say, "Why couldn't you save me, Max? Why?" Then she screams in agony, and the world goes black. I jolt awake, and I scream. I put my face in my hands and cry, until I hear a soft, familiar voice.
