"Max, you good? You okay?" I hear her ask as I come back to reality. I say, "I had another vision, Kate. It was..... amazing. I saw us. God, it was a vision that was unlike any other. But... there was a certain feel to it. Like I was there, and I wasn't, at the exact same time." Kate looks at me like I just went full Albert Einstein or Schrodinger. "Max, what are you talking about? You rewind too hard or something?" I laugh. I laugh so hard my ribs hurt. And Kate begins to laugh too. Pretty soon were laughing for no reason whatsoever. We're on the floor of the apartment, laughing our asses off. When we wipe the tears of laughter away, we're just laying there on the floor. I reach out and grab her hand, and she does so in return. "No.... I didn't rewind too hard. I really didn't rewind at all. But if you want me to I can." I smirk at her, and she laughs, rolling her way next to me. I smile, holding the smaller girl close. This.... is the best relationship I've ever been in.
