You had been living a double life for nearly three years now, and you had become a master of deception. No one in the Akatsuki suspected a thing, as you had gained their trust through the cunning and calculated capture of Han. Every day, you delved deeper into the organization, unravelling its darkest secrets and observing the members' true natures.

But your thoughts often drifted to your past life. You missed your home, your comrades, and your loved ones dearly. Kakashi's wise words and gentle guidance, Sasuke's brooding demeanour and inner turmoil, Naruto's boundless energy and insatiable appetite for ramen, and the rest of the Hidden Leaf village. You hoped that they were all safe, although you could not contact them.

During your time in the Akatsuki, you could not help but notice the overwhelming darkness that resided within Tobi. Despite his seemingly harmless demeanour and goofy antics, you were convinced that he played a much more significant role in the organization than he let on. You often overheard him talking to himself in his room late at night, his whispers laced with a disturbing edge, and sometimes, you even caught him muttering your name in a haunting tone.

During the day, Tobi shadowed your every move, acting as your partner in every mission. You could sense that he was constantly watching you, analyzing your every move, and waiting for an opportunity to strike. It was unnerving, to say the least.

Meanwhile, Obito was ecstatic. He had been given a second chance at life, and he was determined to make the most of it. Every day, he relished the opportunity to talk to you, to look at you, and to be close to you. Sometimes, spending the entire day with you wasn't enough, and he would sneak into your room at night to watch you sleep.

But as he watched you slumber, he saw the pain and sadness that you tried so hard to hide. You cried out his name in your sleep, and sometimes, you woke up in the middle of the night screaming for him. In those moments, Obito wanted nothing more than to reveal himself to you, to hold you tightly and tell you that everything would be okay. But he couldn't risk blowing his cover and putting you in danger.

It was a painful irony for him to have to lie to you every day, knowing how much you had suffered in his absence. But for now, he had to bide his time, to wait for the right moment to reveal himself to you and to make amends for all the pain he had caused.

You stood still, frozen in terror as you overheard Tobi and Pain's conversation. You were hiding behind the door, concealing your chakra, and trying your best to remain unnoticed. The two of them were planning some kind of attack, and you couldn't help but listen in on their conversation."I am already prepared. I will be out in thirty minutes." Pain said, "Perhaps I could take Y/N with me to test her loyalty." Tobi paused, his expression grave under the mask and his tone threatening.

"No, she must not be involved. We cannot risk her knowing about any of this."

You felt a flicker of relief at Tobi's words, but Pain's next response left you reeling in shock.

"If you suspect she is still involved with the leaf..." Pain said, his voice low and dangerous, "We will have to terminate her for the good of the organization."

Your heart sank at the realization that Pain was considering killing you. You couldn't believe your cover was being blown

"No!" Tobi suddenly yelled, his tone furious and filled with rage. "If you dare touch her, I will kill you all!"You couldn't believe what you were hearing. Tobi, the goofball, was threatening to kill his own men for your sake. You felt a strange mix of fear and gratitude wash over you. Pain looked at Tobi, his expression unreadable.
"You claim to be ruthless, but this girl means something to you. She is going to be the death of you."
