Both teams slowly stood back up. "Well, that was fun," laughed Ben. Maria looked at the dark figure before them. "Let me guess, you're not here for girl scout cookies, are you?" Master Monotone lifted his hand and grabbed her by the throat with some unknown force. She gagged and kicked about. Austin charged only to be thrown back by that same force. The other caught him as Monotone's voice chilled them to the core. "Pesky humans." He slung Maria into a nearby tree, her screams echoing in the empty streets.
"I am the brother of the one you fell, Catamount Rangers. I have come back to avenge him, but I will not be alone. Soon, when the key is in my hands, the Queen and I will be wed and together, we will rule all dimensions with an iron fist! Consider this your warning." He vanished in a dark cloud into a dimensional rift. Everyone stood there in utter confusion. Maria moaned. "Uhhhhhh ow, someone help here." Blake used a piece of shrapnel to surf up to her and plucked her out of the tree. "We're in for it now."
