remember back in primary school
how we'd put on pantomimes
for our parents?
I'd be Wendy, you, Tiger Lily...
and she who was lucky enough to join us
could choose between Peter and Hook.
(your teddy bear got the other role)
it's funny how a simple dress and a headband
could transport us to a whole other world...
Neverland.
but our Neverland was different.
you see, a teddy bear can't save you from an evil pirate,
or succeed in playing the evil pirate himself.
in our Neverland, all we needed was each other;
together, we could fly straight on till morning
and neither of us would notice the hours ticking by.
it's a real pity you can't fly in pantomimes
but you can in dreams
I've done it, and I hope someday you will too my friend
before we grow up for good.
