New Year's Eve (N-R)

Y/n POV:
I was just coming back with Yelena from our little shopping trip, we bought some snacks and drinks and stuff for tonight. And let me tell you- those other people looked at us like we just bought the whole supermarket.

We put all the stuff away so none of the boys would find it. They literally inhale that stuff, so we thought it would be better to hide it until tonight. When we were done, Yelena told me she wanted to get some training in before it's 2023, so we split ways and I walked up to my room. I share with Nat.

"Hey Nat." I spoke as I walked in, she looked up from her book and smiled at me before petting the space beside her. I walked over to the bed, kicked off my shoes and jumped into bed snuggling up beside her.

"How was shopping with Yelena?" Nat asked after a while, "Oh it was fine. We bought a lot of stuff for tonight. I also found your favorite beer and got it for you." I responded and she kissed my head mumbling a 'thank you'.

We didn't do much this day we just laid around in bed, listened to some music and enjoyed each other's presence. At around 6pm we came out of our room and walked downstairs going to help Wanda with the food. Nat can't really cook, she would rather burn down the kitchen so while I went to help Wanda with the food, Nat started to get the table ready with some decorations and stuff.

While I was preparing some steaks, Wanda was busy doing her paprikash glancing over at me from time to time. As I was roasting the meat in the pan Nat walked up behind me and slung her arms around my waist, resting her hands on my stomach.

"This year was beautiful with you by my side." She mumbled as she rested her chin on my shoulder. "It was beautiful indeed." I smiled and turned my head to kiss her cheek.

After the food was all done and everything was ready on the table, Wanda, Nat and I went to our rooms to get something else to wear.

Nat wore a black dress which was closed with buttons on the top, it had wide sleeves and a V-neck, she also wore some red heels and I helped her put some curls into her red shoulder long hair. While I decided to wear some black suit pants along with a white blouse and a black vest with golden buttons to it and some silver heels and did my hair into a high ponytail curling the end.

When we walked down we saw everyone already sitting around the lounge, dressed up, talking, and laughing. "Are we eating now or what?" I asked and they all looked up. They got up from their seats and came towards us, we all sat down and started eating.

Even when we were done we still sat there, we talked about this year, we laughed and some of us had tears in their eyes at a few stories. We had a few drinks, but not so much that we would be completely wasted and by the time we cleared the table and sat together in the lounge it was already 11:30pm. "Okay guys, 30 more minutes." Tony announced as he looked at the countdown they do on every channel on TV right now. We continued talking and drinking, we did a few shots and when it was only 5 more minutes we decided to go outside.

Tony put out the fireworks. "Will you be okay?" I asked bucky, knowing he could probably get triggered by the sounds of it. "I will be fine, I have steve with me." He smiled as he patted my shoulder.

"10...9...8..." we all started counting as Nat and I stood there arm in arm. "5...4...3...2...1...HAPPY NEW YEAR" we celebrated as tony shot up his fireworks. "Happy New Year my love" Nat spoke before she kissed me. "Happy New Year to you too." I smiled kissing her lips once more.

"I love you y/n, to more wonderful years with you.", "I love you too Natalia, to a wonderful life with you." I smiled before I got out of her arms, "What are you doing?" She chuckled, "I don't just want wonderful years with you, I want a wonderful life with you, and wonderful kids with you, I want to grow old with you and eventually die with you. Natalia Alianovna Romanova, will you marry me?" I asked getting down on one knee.

Nat looked at me with tears in her eyes, "Are-are you for real now?" She asked in tears and I smiled widely as I nodded. By now the whole team was watching and tony waiting for Nats answer to shoot a big pack of fireworks.

"Yes...yes! A thousand times yes!!!" She exclaimed and I came up to my feet hugging her. When we pulled away she leaned in kissing me and tony activated the big firework. I put the ring to her ring finger and pulled her into my embrace again. "It's so beautiful." she smiled as she looked down at the ring in tears.

"I just want what's best for you." I smiled.

Hey guys, I know this is a little late hahaha I couldn't find the time to write and post it, so I'm sorry haha. Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Florence my baby🥳. And I just read an article with details about Jeremy Renner's accident, it's really terrifying and I am so glad he is alive, my thought are with his family and I hope he will recover completely.🙏🏻 Stay safe and stay tuned<3
