VI - Children of Curse & Water

Poseidon's face was full of shock. His eyes were full of questions and as well as the queen's expression surfaced.

"Medusa has only 2 children, no more and no less. How can there be three of you?" the Queen asked.

Mariana answered her with a fierce tone. "You're literally questioning about my birth. I am Medusa's daughter, the one that's been cursed to be a monster. With whose fault? Of course, it was because of the God of the Sea!"

"I don't have a daughter as savage as you!" Poseidon roared that shook the whole palace.

Other creatures and guards were thrown away because of the pressure of Poseidon's roaring. This is no joke. The God of the Sea is literally mad right now.

"Medusa was beheaded and that's why Chrysaor and Pegasus were born. It is because of blood spurted from the neck of Medusa." The queen remarked.

"You don't know the real story of my mother. She deserves much better than suffering. That's why I came to revenge my mother from the one who started her suffering!" Mariana gritted her teeth because of anger as she said these words. Her brothers were trying to stop her from saying anything since they are in the domain of the Sea God.

"You're walking through needles, young lady! Enough with your nonsense. I have no daughter from your mother and never will I create a daughter from her!" Poseidon exclaimed giving Mariana a sense of anger she never felt before.

She let out a loud roar of anger. As she shouted, a big pressure of water came out from her making everyone around her being thrown flying. Well, except of her brothers.

Everyone was shock with what they witnessed. Even Poseidon stood up from his throne.

"You..." He said in utter shock. "How can you do that?"

Mariana stood straight and looked straight into her father's eyes.

"What do you think? I can do more than you can imagine," she answered seriously. "I'll show you enough to amuse you with one condition. Release us after I show you what you wanted to see."

"Mariana," Pegasus called. She looked at him with a reassuring look and mouthed him 'It's fine'.

Both her brothers just let out a sigh. They don't know what Mariana's plan is but one thing they know is that they trust their sister to what she's planning to do.

"Very well then," Poseidon answered as he sat down again. He gestured something to his soldiers and servants. They all nodded and left the throne room.

"Go on, show me what you've got young lady. It should be amusing or else I will not let any single soul of you three go." Poseidon threatened her.

Mariana didn't say anything, she walked forward instead battling with the demeanor of Poseidon. Amphitrite is still in the throne room. She wants to watch also. She's having a hard time battling with her thoughts. If Mariana can really wield the gift of the seas and waters then her children won't have a chance to be Poseidon's successor, a heir to the throne.

"Keep your word, Poseidon." Mariana said and began to close her eyes. She felt her surroundings and getting ahold of it. She then opened her eyes and the first person that stared into her eyes was Amphitrite, her eyes turned into the form of a snake's eye and without even a minute, Amphitrite began to petrify slowly. From her lower body to her upper body.
