Upon shouting these words, she also channel out her authority. The two monsters stopped for a bit and looked at where Mariana is.
There's one thing Mariana didn't know about authority, it can only be used to creatures that can think and perceive. These monsters don't have that one. And she just gave her position.
"What the!" Mariana blurted out when she saw the two monsters coming to her - attacking her. The monsters went to her in a uniform way, both are eyeing her as they rushed toward her.
Mariana regained her self and swim swiftly above. She eventually evaded death for a short time.
"This is not good." She said. She's engulfing herself with water spikes, she put a lot of force and made the spikes bigger than its usual size. Of course, her enemies are both sizes of a mountain! If she'll just gonna attack them with normal spikes then it will just be a waste of time.
When she thought that the spikes are already big and sharp enough, she threw it to the monsters. She's attacking them endlessly. Both the Leviathan and the Kraken are agonizing from pain.
Mariana didn't stop. She channel her inner powers and ready to use her curse. She felt the different sensation as her eyes change colors. Everything underwater became clear, she can see all of it.
She wasted no time. She stared at the two monsters and not less than a minute, both the monsters were petrified. Mariana snapped and the petrified bodies of the sea monsters are now inside a big bubble. She smiled, it's her win.
"The depth of this water is giving me a problem."
Mariana's getting ready to swim up and getting out of the abyss, however, she felt a chill in her spine indicating a bad thing. She felt nervous and this is her first time feeling it. It's as if her life flashes in front of her without her knowing what might the reason of the way she felt.
She composed herself, getting ready of the worst to happen. She closed her eyes, sharpening her other senses. Something big and eerie is approaching her, she can't identify where is it coming from. She opened her eyes and got shocked of what she saw. A monster, new to her. Very foreign and overbearing. It got 5 eyes, a triangular body with spikes, the sharpest teeth she's ever seen, and a lot of tongue. She doesn't know of this monster.

"What the --, you're definitely ugly!" Mariana commented.
"Hahahaha!" Mariana got startled with the loud laugh. "How am I ugly human? No, you're not a human. A demi-god born with a curse. Interesting..."
Mariana scoffed upon hearing. A monster is speaking, she's experiencing a lot of new things inside the abyss. She knows that this monster is on another level. The leviathan and the kraken that's in her bubble would pose no threat to the monster. She's in great disbelief. Her effort in capturing the two monsters is a waste.
"What monster are you?"
A loud laugh can be heard again. "Associating me to a monster is not appropriate. I am a guardian, guarding this abyss and you just crossed the line. Everyone of you crossed the line! The ocean is losing its balance because of an incompetent God. Poseidon has gone too far."
"So you hate Poseidon? Don't worry, the feeling's mutual. He is not that great of a God." Mariana answered, with remorse evident in her voice. "But, even though we got the same person who we hate, I'm sorry to say that I need to capture you"
With that, Mariana launched 'authority', her voice made waves underwater. She made her attacks fiercer than before. Combined various attacks she can do but to no avail. The guardian in front of her possesses great defense that she can't break through. She didn't give up, launched an attack more powerful however her attacks are futile. It didn't made any small effects.
"Impossible," Mariana blurted out of frustration. She's thinking of doing a close combat but she'll be stabbed to death by the sharp spikes of the guardian's body.
"You are strong," the guardian commented. "You just run out of luck today that you ran into me."
Mariana didn't listen to the guardian's blabber. She gathered her strength for an attack she avoided using in the past. As she gather her strength, the current and the pressure of the water is gathering also, creating a whirlpool protecting Mariana. Her eyes changed colors into deep darker blue with gray-ish lines. When her skill set is ready, she stared at the guardian.
"Abyssal," a small black hole appeared, it approached the guardian and with a snap, it exploded. It was a strong explosion that everything outside the abyss can feel it too. With that attack, the guardian's defense was gone. But, Mariana's energy is depleted due to her attack. This is one reason why she doesn't use the skill often.
"I love your persistence, fighting me will bring you no good. Since you amazed me, how about I'll give you the chance to have a contract with me. I know that you are in need of me and I know you can help me with one thing. How about that?"
"How can I trust you?"
"This is not upon trust but upon benefit. It's your choice. If you don't then go back and train hard. If you want to defeat me, train hard and see me again in 10 years time." The guardian remained calm, opposite of its appearance.
Mariana stared at the guardian for a long time. She can't decide.
"How can I be sure that you will not go on rampage?" Mariana asked. Her guards are still high.
The guardian chuckled. "Funny but I don't kill without reasons."
With this contract, Mariana will not lose anything aside from effort and labor.
