III - Undead Pirates

Mariana woke up at night time. She took the foods that Harper have packed for her and stepped out of the cabin eating a sandwich. She looked up the sky as she came out. There was no problem with the weather. Everything is peaceful and quiet that it arouses her doubtful demeanor.

She handed Chrysaor a sandwich which he received gladly. He took a bite from it and from the reaction he have shown, he looks satisfied with the sandwich.

"It's delicious!" He exclaimed.

Mariana shook her head. "No, it was mother's friend who made it."

Mariana felt a sudden pang in her chest. She will be lying if she says that she doesn't miss Harper.

Chrysaor felt a sudden regret of his remark but he was also happy to know that his sister is being taken cared of.

Since Chrysaor didn't said anything, Mariana left him and approached Pegasus. She handed him a sandwich as well.

"Thank you," said Pegasus and started eating.

Mariana stared at the front. She have no idea of where they're going to.

"Where are we heading to?" She asked, still looking afar.

"Since we don't know if we are going to Olympus or the Underworld, we will stop at the Foloi oak forest after we reach the shore," Pegasus answered.

"There's no single news from Olympus. I don't know their movements now," Chrysaor came. He looked stressed. "The carrier pigeon just came by with a letter. It says that Medusa is no more."

"Who sent it?" Asked Pegasus. That's why he didn't trust gods and goddesses of the Olympus. They are all doing everything for their own selves. They are selfish!

"Athena," Chrysaor shortly answered.

Mariana heaved a sigh upon hearing that. She knew that Athena has a big envy to her mother. If it wasn't the beauty of Medusa, Athena won't be minding anything but Medusa's face can make Gods want her.

"It's nonsense," she remarked.

"We know but if we want to fight them, we need a help from someone." Chrysaor said.

Pegasus massaged his forehead. He's stressing more than before.

"We should try to avoid confronting them as much as possible. We all want to get our mother back but we need to be safe to be able to do so. Also, Chrysaor, if you want to ask help from Poseidon then we should stop this."

"No, we won't be asking for help to that useless father of ours! Ares, he gave me a letter stating if I needed help." Chrysaor exclaimed.

"That's a relief then," Pegasus replied. Mariana also heaved a sigh. She really don't want to ask for help from her father since he loathe him to the bones.

Both Pegasus and Chrysaor decided to talk privately which Mariana agreed to. She knew that they will be discussing if they will receive help from the God of War, Ares. She was left holding the steering wheel. Not long after, a silhouette of an island can be seen. Mariana tried to enhance her eye senses and saw that it wasn't an island, rather it was a dozen of pirate ships.

"Guys," she frantically called. "We have an emergency here!"

Upon hearing Mariana's shout, both her brothers came to her. They looked towards the direction Mariana is looking to and unknowingly cursed their luck.
