Nineteen

With Gaara and his siblings siding with Konoha, more and more Suna Shinobi found themselves inside shells made of sand and successfully isolated from the war. Gaara made short work of Oto Shinobi, crushing them instead of containing them. Konoha Shinobi was surprised by his action but said nothing as he pointed at them to continue vacating Konoha's main street of civilians. He looked at the stadium, "I'm doing my best, Naruto-sama. Please...save your people,"

Baki had seen that Orochimaru was the one wearing Rasa's face and came to a horrified conclusion. Suna had been played. He called command centre to try and get to their higher ups that should be in charge of the war but instead received terrible news. Slowly, he commanded the remaining Suna Shinobi to send a message down their rank that Oto had betrayed them. Hopefully by turning onto the traitorous village, they could salvage something with Konoha.

Kakashi studied the barrier and sighed at the sight of the three coffins. Minato had mentioned that something was niggling at a part of him that had remained human the past week. This would explain it. He noticed Hashirama-ki standing straight on the Hokage's shoulder. Well, Hashirama-ki was both the Shodaime and not. It was complicated and only Sensei could explain it.

Orochimaru weaved his hand signs and revealed the Shodaime and Nidaime. He chuckled, "What a lovely reunion, don't you say, Sensei?"

Senju Tobirama opened his eyes and looked at Hiruzen, "Saru? You're old,"

Senju Hashirama frowned, "Why...do I feel myself over there?"

The sapling moved and grabbed onto Tobirama, growing roots to stab at Orochimaru before he could stab his sealing kunai into the man's head. He couldn't do the same with Hashirama and the man became a puppet. Tobirama cursed, "Who is this?!"

Hiruzen explained, "That would be Orochimaru. He...was my student and now... a traitor of Konoha,"

The third coffin exploded and Hiruzen stared as the Edo Tensei of Minato appeared. Orochimaru chuckled, "Well, it seemed I would still gain my own Kiiroi Senko after all," The body then crumbled, making the man stare in confusion, "What?"

Hiruzen explained, "Oh...you didn't know? Minato managed to overthrow the previous Shinigami and became the new Shinigami. He won't tell me how that worked and for my own sake, I refused to know anything about the afterlife,"

A shikigami floated and Namikaze Minato formed around it. He looked at Orochimaru, "Well...this is interesting. I mean, I felt the pull and decided to see what will happen. Since I am in charge of death now, it didn't really stick,"

Hiruzen scowled, "Really Minato? What if it stick?"

Minato shrugged, "I doubted that Naruto will let it last," He pointed at the purple barrier. Orochimaru stared at the scowling blond. Naruto knelt down and pulled out a scroll, a brush held in his hand like a weapon. Hiruzen grumbled, "Go figure he would do that,"

Tobirama felt chakra being pumped into his seal and he grew strong enough to break the control that Orochimaru had on him. Orochimaru cursed and controlled the Shodaime, "Get rid of them!"

Minato looked at Tobirama, "As long as Hashirama-ki is attached to your body, Orochimaru will never be able to take control of you! Work together!"

Tobirama felt the sapling danced, his brother's chakra flickering through him and purifying his chakra coils of impurities. But unlike the chakra of the brother attacking him now, the chakra cleaning his own was more natural, almost like how Hashirama would explain the feel of nature's chakra when he activated Sage Mode.

Hiruzen cut the branches out to skewer him. Minato, apparently the new Shinigami as Tobirama can feel it, headed towards Orochimaru with a snarl and blitzing with sword, "This is for trying to feed my son to a giant snake and corrupt his brother!"
