Chapter Seven: You Won't Die. But You'll Wish You Could

The rest of the week was quite tame. Gregory spent plenty of time with his grandmother, the two bonded almost instantly. Freddy figured they likely would. Gregory did have that adorable personality one could not help but love. Circus Baby and the others did keep their distance from his son, though he could tell that they wanted to be around him as well.

Freddy spent much of the week answering the questions of his bandmates about the Funtimes and his relation to them. Roxy made it very clear she did not like any of them. Aside from Ballora. Though Freddy was positive it was because she thought she was attractive, it made him sick to think about.

After routine repairs in the mega pizzaplex everything was in order for them to open the next day. Freddy was excited to get back to business as usual. He needed the normalcy back in his life. Besides, he was somewhat looking forward to sticking Circus Baby and the others back underground. At least when the pizzaplex was open.

It was already late into the evening, the sun had just gone down and the night sky started to set in. After several races in the raceway and arcade games with Gregory, Freddy made his way to the rehearsal room. Gregory rarely was awake for such rehearsal times so he eagerly followed Freddy, saying he wanted to see them practice because he had never seen them mess up a song before. Of course Freddy did not object however when they walked into the room he was surprised to find the Funtimes sitting on the floor and the other Glamrocks tuning their instruments.

"Hey Fazbear, hope it's cool. Fox dude and Clown dude practically begged to watch us practice." Monty said he was sitting on the edge of a riser with Roxy.

"The name is Funtime Foxy and Circus Baby, my good alligator friend. I don't know how you keep forgetting." Foxy interjected from his spot on the floor.

"I know your name bro. I just don't care." Monty said, getting up and joining Chica who was in the center of the room with her guitar. She was already prepared for rehearsal, of course. She was a diligent and well prepared person.

"He barely calls anyone by their names. It's just like in his programming." Roxy said, following Monty. Freddy grabbed his mic and stand, laughing slightly as he listened to this exchange.

Gregory stayed right by Freddy's leg the entire time, he was wary of the Funtimes. He told Freddy the first night they'd been there that their Freddy's voice was disturbing and he hated Foxy's appearance. He loved Ballora, but hated when she opened her eyes. He also discovered he was not a fan of her spider walk. She'd done it the previous day and it resulted in him throwing his shoe at her because he didn't think the Fazerblaster would work. Circus Baby was intimidating because she was tall but he decided he didn't like her because Freddy didn't. The same went for Ennard.

"Hey Superstar, why don't you go take a seat by Ballora?" Freddy said, kneeling in front of Gregory. She was separated from the other Funtimes a little. He wasn't sure if that was the case when they'd walked in or if she moved over after so that Gregory could sit with her. The boy nodded with a smile and ran over to take a seat beside her.

It was odd having an audience during rehearsal, especially an audience of other animatronics. He couldn't understand why they would want to watch a practice run though he suspected it was because they, themselves, were not a band but rather separate solo performers that did not even play instruments. That or they were still fascinated with how lifelike the Glamrocks were when moving and talking and wanted to know if that carried over to their performances.

The Funtimes, shockingly, were a pretty good audience. Even Ennard, though his presence still made Freddy very uncomfortable. They sat quietly watching the Glamrocks play through their set list and applauded when appropriate. Gregory didn't stay seated long, he knew most of their songs by heart now so he'd grabbed a spare mic stand and joined them. Freddy didn't mind, he didn't think Chica, Roxy or Monty did either. If they did, they said nothing.
