They say with a very excited and curious tone, 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 really loves learning new stuff..

"well per day we dont eat or drink anythinh but we do need liquid at least once a week.."

I said with my usual fake angelic voice wich i still need to practice better..

"oOOOOkay! Next question: Whats an alternates lifespan?"

"We live forever"

𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 gasps, wich startled me a lot to br honest.

"WOOOOAAAAHHH THATS CRAZY THATS SO COOL SO YALL LIVE UNTIL END OF TIME OR WHAT??"

they shout out of excitement, what a curious little human being..

"mhm.. also i dont know why your kind is calling us 'alternates', may i ask why?"

I carefuly ask, it really bothered me to be honest.. 'alternates'... *scoff*

"oh.. wellll... i dunno i think its because yall can turn into something that can exist too, an alternate version of something.."

They answered, what a smart little human.. god they are so sweet its making me 'giggly'

"oh well thank you kiddo"

I curiously wait for their next question

"Can your kind manipulate death and life? I heard you alternates can travel through tv's and manipulate minds ect ect., but im really curious about other abilities"

They blabber curiously

"no. we shapeshift, travel through magnetic waves, manipulate minds and objects also we can make ourselves invisible but nothing else."

i react in my emotionless voice again.

i promised i wouldnt lie but i had to keep them safe.
Im doing whats best for them.

"ohh well still cool!"

they say in a happy tone, so clueless..

"By the way do you want to go to the mall with me? I finaly saved up some pocket money and i wanna shop a lil bit"

𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 offered me to go with them, i gladly accepted

[timeskip because im a wall]

"Whats that-"
"whats this shop"
"what does this one sell"
"what is in that shop

"Gabriel quiet please we dont need to go in all the shops please-"

I whined, Gabriel was never in a mall before and is more amazed than a child making their first flower crown

"but pleaaaasee can we at least go into this shop-"

The angel points at the beauty and makeup shop.

"Sure, i have to go there anyways"

I say quietly, Remembering Gabriel made himself invisible for anyone but me. I dont want to make people think im crazy-

Gabriel and I walk into the shop, me directly going to the shampoo stuffs.
After a while i notice that gabriel isnt near me anymore. I panic and whisper

"gabriel?!"

No answer

My heart is beating fast, me having a bad gut feeling.
I never felt this scared, this feeling of gabriel not being there, its usually always by my side.

I run around the shop when the perfume section catches my eye.
Gabriel is standing there, smelling litteraly every perfume he gets his hands on.

"GABRIEL gosh you scared the living shit out of me..!"

I whispered

"Oh 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 dearest! I apologize for distracting myself.. what are these liquidy smells called??"

He curiously asks

"oh those are called perfumes, they make a person smell better wich 'aperantly' makes them more attractive"

His eyes widen

"can i have it?"

I look at him confused
"why would you need it?"

"Because you said it makes a person attaractive and i read attractive is something positive!"

Gabriel said in such a sweet voice

"yeah but why would you like to be attractive?"

"Because then youll like me more!"
He said innocently

"I- GABRIEL- you are already cool without perfume cmon.., i like the way you are.."

I stutter at the sudden answer gabriel gave me, hes such a doofus

"awww :("

"ill buy one for you, choose one"

i said with my serious voice, i couldnt see gabriel sad.

"YAY THANK YOU SO MUCH 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑 :D"
He squeaked, directly putting his hands on a pretty pricey perfume.

"This one- oh wait that costs a lot..awwh.. i really like that one.."

Gabriel said with a dissapointed voice.

"No its okay i will buy it for you, besides, that new game i wanted to buy is brand new and im sure it will cost less soon so i can wait!"

I never saw gabriels eyes light up this much, his angel wings puffed up and he looked way more human than before. His smile wasnt even this uncanny one.

It was a genuine smile.

"..you are so awesome.."
