The club room is a room where all the riders go. It's got a fridge full of drinks like coke and sprite, an air hockey table, 10 laptops, a normal table piled high with horse magazines and books, a fooze-ball table, and a massive flat screen TV, with sofas and comfy seats around it, and a coffee table with about 100 DVDs. Chelsea and a girl called Amber had already bagged the biggest sofa, and the TV for us. I went over to join them. We chose to watch Flicka.

After our wee movie sesh, it was 1am, so I went to bed. The next day, I went down to the yard and was met with some upset faces, "Ashley, your mare, Bambi- she's twisted her knee..." The head groom, Ellyssa told me. I ran to Bambi's stall, where I found my small mare soacked in sweat, shacking and lying down. She was my first horse,

since ponies, I loved her so much. She seemed alright, just knackered. I called the vet, Amelia, and she came over immediately.

"Well, she seems alright, that knee isn't too badly sprained, but it's not good.." Amelia said after examining the bay mare, "She will most likely need to have a break from riding for a few months, and even then you won't be able to event or do anything at the standard you do now" I put Bambi's fleece rug on, "Hmm.. Well, we can't have horses unridden here in my academy, so you must consider your options, Ashley." Head of the school, Miss McKillop, told me. I was crushed, "But.. What can I do exactly? Sell her?" Miss McKillop nodded, "Yes, I think that would be best, you can sell her to a quiet yard for beginning riders, or perhaps RDA? Hmm..have a think and let me know?" She and Amelia went away, leaving me with Bambi.

I reached over to my horse and hugged her, crying into her tangled mane. I knew what I had to do. Tomorrow, I would phone my friend Brittany, whose mother owns a RDA riding centre. There Bambi would receive great care, and would help disabled children learn to ride, and Bambi would be happy there. I stayed with Bambi for another hour or so, and left the stable to see to my other mounts.
