Darktalon poked Evergreen with a claw and says "Snowflake? Good morning?"
"Don't call me like that ever again." Evergreen slowly woke up and hissed softly.
"As you wish, Snowflake." He giggled, and jumped away, before Evergreen could catch him.
The icewing got up slowly, and looked at Darktalon. "How did you do that?"
"I just used your infinity amount of anger." He looked proud of himself. She frowned at him, and kept silent. "So, what now?" Asked the nightwing.
"I am going to the Ice kingdom. And you do whatever you want, as long as you leave me alone." She said.
"Actually, I have a better idea. I have a very weak future telling power, and I saw something you might be interested. An Icewing."
"I don't really care about the other dragons, you know." She said, but for some reason, she listened to him.
"I just feel it has to do something about you. I saw an icewing. His back was white, maybe a very pale blue. His spikes was in a deep blue color. And his wings were bright white." He looked at her, curiously.
"Silversing." She gasped softly. "What do you know about him? Is he alive? Where is he?" Evergreen demanded.
"Not much, I am sorry. He was beside a huge ice wall. He looked up at the sky, like he was waiting for someone." He said, a little hint of sadness was in his voice.
"That must be the Great Ice Cliff. But if he crossed it, you can't follow me there. It will kill you on sight. Only icewings can flew above it safely." She said urgently.
"I will go with you until we reach the wall." He protested.
"You will freeze to death before that. Did you saw any sign of a dragonet?" She asked resigned.
"No. It was just a moment. Sorry." He didn't look in her eyes. They lifted into the air, and flew above the Desert for two days, and they only stopped to rest sometimes. They reacher the boulder of the two kindgom, where the temperature were colder. Evergreen didn't liked it, but Darktalon was far worse condition than her.
"You should go back. You will get yourself killed, if you keep coming." She tried to send him away.
Darktalon plumped up a little fire, and sit beside it, but stubbornly said nothing. He wanted to know if Ever reach her family safely. And wanted to help her if necessary. For sunrise, they saw the Great Ice Cliff spread out on the horizon as long as their sight could reach. It was huge. Much bigher than any of them expected. How are they supposed to find one dragon here? As Evergreen felt desperate, a wingtip touched hers. She looked, and saw Darktalon smiling at her sadly. She has to stay strong.she has to find Silverwing, and Greenling. She hoped, both of them are fine, because if not, she will destroy the world. She growled at the thought of that.
The flew west, and Evergreen was less and less hopeful. She furiously flapping her wings, leaving behind the Nightwing, until she heard his call. She stopped, and hovered in the air, and suddenly spotted a dragon down on the ground. A pale dragon, who looked orange at the sunfall. Could it be her mate? Could it be Silver? Only one way to find out.She folded her wings, and landed softly a little further from the dragon. She could feel the snow under her talons, cold and icy. The dragon finally noticed her, and snarled, but recognition fashed across his face.
"Evergreen?" He asked in disbelief. Evergreen stepped forward, and hugged him with her wings.
"I missed you so much, Silver." She breathed in his ear. She couldn't believe she finally made it back to him. "Our egg?" She asked, afraid from the answer.
"She is safe. You were right. It was female." He said with closed eyes. They heard talons landing behind them, and Silver suddenly let Evergreen go, and leaped into the air, roared in fury. "Nightwing!"
He landed on the back of Darktalon, who shook him of, and hit him with one of his wing. Evergreen grimaced. She completely forgot Silver hates Nightwings.
Meanwhile, the two male dragons fought ferciously, until Darktalon pinned down the smaller Icewing. She could see Silver is working on his frostbreath, so she intervened.
"Enough! Both of you!" She shouted at them.
"But it is a smoke breather nightwing! I mean, just look on it's face!" Silverwing hissed furiously.
"I don't like your face either, but I don't try to kill you for that." Said Darktalon not very convincing.
"Stop that, before I will get in." She hissed menacingly.
"Get off me, Slug!" Hissed Silverwing at the nightwing as he stepped back.
"Looks like you two really know each other." He said quietly.
"Now, if you two finally could behave as cicilized dragon, Silverwing let me introduce you Darktalon. He freed me from the prison after... You know." She bit off the end of the sentence. "And Darktalon, he is Silverwing. The love of my life." She feeled uncomfortable to say such things, but it was true. Suprisingly, Darktalon seemed more uncomfortable than her. Silverwing frowned at him.
"Darling? Don't you want to say something?" Evergreen asked in a sweet voice.
"Thank you." Snapped Silverwing to him.
"I didn't do it for you, believe me." Growled Darktalon back.
"Boys." She hissed. Both of them looked at her. "Stop fighting. Please." She added resigned. Silverwing comed beside her, and pulled her close with one of his wing. Darktalon's tail flicked.
"I want to intorude you someone, too." Said Silverwing, smiling at her. "But not until that is here" he hissed at Darktalon again. Evergreen sighed. She wanted to meet her dragonet, but she knew Silverwing won't let Darktalon go anywhere near her.
"Just give us a moment. He has come far, let us say goodbye." Evergreen and Darktalon sat a little away from the icewing.
"Thank you for everything." Said Evergreen, clearing her throat.
"Mee too. Except the other spells you put on me" he grimaced.
"You're right, but you wouldn't try to hurt me anyway. So technically, we can say I didn't do anything." She laughed. Darktalon sighed, and curled his tail around hers. Silverwing hissed softly, watching them, but said did nothing. Darktalon ear twiched as he heard the hateful thought from him.
"Stay safe. Watch out for your family. You will be a wonderfull mother, I am sure." Darktalon said sadly.
"Stay safe, you too. I will try to visit you sometimes. But no promises." She said softly. It was time. None of them said good bye, it felt too little after they all went through.
Evergreen stepped away from him, and he walked to Silverwing.
Darktalon puts his talon on Silverwing's shoulder, and he gave him a disgusted look. In his mind he said 'how dare he touch me', but fighting against his hate.
Darktalon looked down at him and said.
"I'm leaving... because I want her to be happy" he gave Silverwing a more serious look and a little frown and with a firmer voice he said.
"Make sure that this will happen"
The icewing nodded seriously.
"Thank you for brought her back." Silver said softly. "I know how you feel. I feel the same. I will make her happy." He continued, and meant it.
"And don't leave her ever again." He growled. "I won't bring her back a second time."
"Never ever." He promised. Darktalon listened to his toughts for a moment, and nodded. He turned away from them, and flew into the night.
Evergreen stared after him, until Silverwing stepped to her. "Are you ready to meet Greenling?"
