Just another night, i can't sleep. i don't know why but for the past couple of years i haven't been able to sleep the same, i've always got something to worry about.
i feel completely at peace right now so i'm not sure why my body won't shut down and sleep, it's fine i'm just gonna go up to my secret spot
It's not far from the village, you just need to walk down the beach and climb up a couple of rocks and your there and you get a beautiful view of the sea.
I walk to the edge so that i can sit and admire the sea but i see someone already there.
Neteyam.
What's he doing up so late?
"Neteyam?"
He turns around
"why aren't you asleep Ikri?"
"i can't sleep, why aren't you asleep?"
"same reason" he sighs
i sit down next to him and put my head on his shoulder.
"this is all doesn't feel real" he says
"what do you mean?"
"you, your here. you know at one point i tried convincing myself you were gone for real, i went to eywa and asked if your with her but i never got a reply so i wasn't sure what that meant"
Just now i've noticed how much i hurt him. We were together every day for 10 years and then suddenly i disappear and don't come back.
"i'm so sorry neteyam i don't know why i didn't come back, i found peace here and i kinda stuck to it, your my family it was wrong of me for not coming back. well actually i did but you never knew because i kept my distance but i was always with you my neteyam" i hold his hand
I look up at him and we lock eyes for a moment
He leans in and places his lips on mine.
"i see you neteyam" i say
"i see you ikri" he replies
We sit and talk for a while catching up, then we notice that the sun is coming up so we decide to head back to the village and get at least a bit of sleep because we're gonna need the energy for tomorrow.
