I walk into the family hut to make sure everyone is ready for bed, i walk into Neteyams part of the hut. He seems stressed out. I walk over to him.
"My Neteyam" i say as i sit down with him
"Ikiri?" he raises his eyebrow
"what are you doing here why aren't you in your hut?" he asks
"i was walking Kiri back home im leaving soon, are you okay?"
"i don't know i can't sleep anymore i don't know why." he buries his face in his pillow
"do you want me to stay tonight?" i ask
"yes please"
As he says that he grabs me and pulls me close to him, he lays his head on my chest and i start running my fingers through his braids.
He looks up at me and holds my face he then says "i see you"
"i see you Neteyam" i reply
— next day—
I'm already awake just admiring Neteyam before i have to go wake everyone up, Suddenly Tuk runs in and snuggles up with us.
Neytiri walks past but stops and peaks in, she smiles at us and admires us for a moment before going to wake everyone up.
"Neteyam, wake up" i whisper
He wakes up quite quickly and gets up, we all go to eat breakfast.
"Right come on guys we need to go meet Tsireya to do our breathing exercises this morning!" i say walking out as they follow
We bump into Aonung
"Ikri!" he yells angry
"what now?" i ask
"you didn't come to you hut last night where were you?" he hissed
"i stayed at the sully hut, problem?" i scoff
"yes big one, mother and father aren't gonna like that"
"mother and father won't care because they trust me now move out my way sxkawng!" i hiss
He's starting to annoy me now always so protective.
He steps in front of Kiri and whispers "freak" in her ear.
But i heard and he's not getting away with this.
"Aonung, do not call Kiri a freak again." i say
"or what? i'm gonna do what i want" he laughs
"remind yourself who's the stronger one here, you don't want to get beaten by me again do u?" i say
Neteyam walks up to him "hey! you need to stop calling my sister a freak she as normal as the rest of us, look i know you don't like us but we're gonna be here for a while that means you need to start respecting my sister exactly how we respect you."
"like i'm going to respect your family full of alien hands" Aonung laughs
We start walking off when Lo'ak turns around and walks back to him
"look i know it's weird having four fingers but i can do something really cool with it do you want to see? ok ok come closer now look if i put my fingers ina fist and hold it real tight then"
He proceeds to punch Aonung across the face and starts beating him.
"it's called a punch bitch!" he yells
I must say i was proud of him for pulling that move
Aonungs friend get involved out numbering Lo'ak
Neteyam smirks and then joins in to protect his brother he takes on all the guys.
I make a noise signaling for them all to stop fighting, it catches their attention.
"Kiri, Tuk go to Tsireya tell her we won't be joining, Aonung, Lo'ak and Neteyam your three with me now!"
I lead them to Tonwari and Ronal
"Mother, Father!" i yell whilst grabbing Aonung by the ear
"Ikri?" Ronal looks confused
"Aonung, do i need to explain what you did?" i hiss
"what has he done now Ikri?" Tonwari asks
"He keeps calling Kiri a freak, and so Lo'ak puched him because he also made fun of his hands, and then all of Aonungs friends joined in so Neteyam had to go in to protect his brother" i explain
"Aonung do we need to teach you how to be respectful to our own family? Wether you like it or not the sully family are a part of our clan go apologize right now and make peace!" Ronal yells at him
i smirk at him with victory.
I take Neteyams hand and get Lo'ak to follow us after Aonung is finished apologizing.
I take them to the water and get them cleaned up.
"thankyou for putting Aonung in his place boys" i say
"i don't get how you haven't done it yet" Lo'ak laughs
"i've had to learn to control my anger because if i didn't he'd be with eywa at this moment"
"Now come on we still have the whole day ahead of us, we are all going exploring around the reef!" i say excited
