Strawberry Shortcake // Shigaraki x reader

Backstory

Whenever you are 5 years old, you get too attached to things too quickly so it hurts more when you have to say goodbye to the things you like or the things you enjoy. While Y/n was one of the ones that were unlucky with their childhood. There was someone who helped thru though times, and their name is Tenko Shimura. Now before I go too far I'll start from when the friendship started.

One day on a regular evening Y/n was at a park all alone playing on the swing while looking at all the other kids playing with each other. Y/n has always been alone and never really bothered socializing, but today something was different. Something or someone caught her eye, it was a boy playing in the sand all alone. She slowly went up to him and then the boy looked at her with a curious face. "D-Do you want to play togwether?" Y/n asked stuttering and mispronouncing some words. The boys face lit up with joy and he nodded his head.

The two sat in the sand and began talking. Y/n wanted to start a conversation so she spoke first "What's your name?" The boy then began to speak in a nervous tone "M-my name is T-Tenko S-Shimura!" The girl began to laugh "my name is Y/n L/n, did you get your quirk yet??" They kept on going on and on talking about each other.

"nope not yet, have you?"

"No, but I bet it's something cool like Aizawa's quirk"

"Is your favorite pro hero Aizawa?"

"Yeah because he hides in the shadows like Batman!!"

"OoO you watch old marvel movies too?"

"Yep I do *laughs*"

After all of the random conversations Tomara had to go "Can we meet again at the park tomorrow?" Tomura asked with a glum expression. "Of course we can" Y/n says with a smile. Tomura smiled back widely and left the playground, while Y/n walked back home.

After that meeting they met almost every single day whenever they had time, the two both was their first friend. The bond grown stronger every single day they would meet up to where they became best friends "forever." Of course since they're now best friends they need to decide a nickname right?

"Tenko should we give each other nicknames?" Y/N asked curious. "I don't know what nickname to give you tho Y/n." Tenko shrugs at the comment. "Oh well I guess we will pick later." The two just decided to leave the conversation right there and decided to go to another topic.

"Y/n can I tell a secret?" Tenko asked with worried expression while scratching his neck. "Of course you can Tenko we tell each other everything!!" He took a deep breath and continued "I think a family member of mine was a hero." Y/n eyes was visible with a spark in their eyes. "You don't look like you're excited?" Y/n says with a worried expression.

"Well I'm happy, but it's just that my dad says that me and my sister must not be a hero or speak of any at all..." Y/n could see that Tenko was worried so she grabbed his hand to keep him calm. " Do you know why he says that?" Tenko thought for a second "Me and my sister found a picture of someone that looked similar to my dad and they were wearing a yellow cape and it looked like they were a hero.. Maybe the person in the picture hurt my dad or something." Y/n smiled "Yeah maybe, I'm sorry for leaving at this time but I have to go before my mom gets mad at me." Tenko smiles and says goodbye not knowing what will soon happen to his dear sweet family.

A couple hours had passed and Y/n was just sitting at the park doing nothing, but then she heard a loud scream a few houses down. All they could think about was if it was Tenko while running to the direction of it. After walking for a while she saw a figure covered in blood running at her. "Tenko what in the world happened!!" She could see that he was crying. "I-I got m-my quirk." He says while sulking "That's amazing Tenko, but why are you crying and bleeding?!" He looks at you with sad eyes "I-I killed my entire family"
