The hardest part of being an outcast, isn't the love you don't recieve. It's the love that you long to give that nobody wants.
- Jodee Blanco

Naomi was never a true Na'vi. She was of human blood and kin.

Her father, a military colonel, and her mother, a scientist. During the great war between Avatar and Human, Naomi was caught in the crosshairs, being lost forever in battle.

She was just about less than a month old when the Metkayina clan stumbled upon this human baby. Ronal, one of the leaders of this clan decided to adopt the girl, taking pity on her.

Naomi grew up living as a Na'vi, with Ronal and Tonowari as her new parents and their children, Ao'nug and Tsireya.

But as a young girl, Naomi was different from the rest. Not just because she was human. She was able to switch from human form to Na'vi form at her will.

Once her family found out, Ronal and Tonowari decided it would be best for Naomi to stay in Na'vi form rather than human form as she would gather less attention from the Sky People and put she and her family at risk of war.

So from there, Naomi was forever Naya'il, of the Metkayina clan.

Although she appeared to be a Na'vi, Naya'il had always felt outcasted. The village had never approved of Naya joining their clan. She was of demon blood. No one had ever said anything but she knew, Naya knew how they all felt about her. It was not just that, the other children would shun her, ignore her, she was the clan's black sheep, an outsider, a freak.

She had no one to really trust or rely upon. Well that was until a certain family from the forest clan joined their clan.

This family consisted of the great warrior, Jake Sully, who Naya always admired. She could relate to him, as he was of human blood and turned Na'vi. Naya'il always pondered the question of how he became such a respected and great warrior and leader.

Neytiri, his wife was a fearsome and strong woman. She relied on her trusty bow, and was quite beautiful.

Then came their children, Neteyam, Kiri, Tuk and Lo'ak. Ah, Lo'ak. There was just something about this teenage boy that Naya couldn't help but think about. When her gaze met his, a different, giddy feeling, filled up Naya's body. Something she had never felt before.

It was like there was a connection between the two.

Naya'il didn't know what it was, but she knew it made life worth living for. Something she would love and know, forever.
