Summer Spiral

Gianna bounced her tennis ball up and down toward the celling, hastily catching it in her right hand whenever it came back down. "I'm so bored, when is everybody coming?" She complained, with a tiny yawn, glancing at Heart. "Luna's picking up Emilio and Sofia right now!" Heart replied, scrolling through her phone perched up on her bed. "I'm so excited for our summer sleepover!" Heart squealed, running up to her window and looking outside to watch Luna pull in. "Final summer sleepover... how depressing, we can't even stay up late." Gianna sighed deeply, catching the tennis ball for the final time and setting it down on Heart's nightstand. "Well, when school start's again we'll finally have the clubroom to practice in! No more of Emilio's dusty garage!" Heart giggled, which made Gianna smile for the first time all day. "No more of his annoying sister??" Gianna asked hopefully, "No more of his annoying sister!" Heart screeched, and stretched her hands up.

"Okay, I guess I'm kind of excited for school now!"

"That's what I like to hear!"

Luna pulled up in Emilio's driveway and honked her horn to signal him to come outside. He did so as quickly as he could, with his bass clearly packed inside his backpack. "Took your time, huh?" Emilio teased, with a soft grin. "What?! It's 10:33, I said I'd be here at 10:30, whats three minutes?!" She joked, pulling out of his driveway *SLOWLY*. Most of their conversations started off with an insult or a tease, (USUALLY from Emilio,) and Luna will pretend to be offended and all of that. Soon, Luna began driving to Sofia's house down the road. "So, what made you three minutes late huhh??" Emilio began to joke, trying to keep a straight face. "Well... It's three minutes! I just left late, okayy??" Luna choked out before laughing along with Emilio, but she soon had to get herself together to not get into... an accident, again. "Sofia's gonna be so mad you took the front seat again~" Luna sang after a quick silence, and to which Emilio replied, "She always has it! Besides, I'm tired of sitting in between Gianna and Heart... Damn it, they always talk over me. No, like, literally, they talk above my head." They both giggled as they pulled into Sofia's driveway, and Luna honked her horn to alert her, and Emilio texted her in the group chat.

Sofia quickly ran outside, and trotted over to the front seat's door, seeing Emilio.. "Ehh? Why are you in my spot? I CALLED SHOTGUN FOR LIFE REMEMBER??" Sofia was good at making jokes seem exactly real, and she easily commits to jokes. So, this made Emilio squirm and laugh awkwardly at Sofia's temper, and soon Luna gave Sofia a tiny wink. "Nooo, this is my spot now!" He yelped, and Sofia screamed: "NOOOOO!!!" Dramatically, before walking to the backseat. She reached over Luna's face to the radio, and began playing some tunes. "Sorry~" Sofia giggled as she buckled her seatbelt and began to hum along to the song. Luna pulled out of Sofia's driveway and went driving towards Heart's house.

Once they arrived in Heart's house, Emilio, Luna, and Sofia ran together in unison towards Heart's front door. "Who's turn is it to ring the door bell??" Luna asked, hovering her index finger over the bell. "Don't know, don't care, ring it Lulu!" Emilio responded, and a few moments after Luna rang the doorbell... Heart's doorbell made the best noise ever, a noise that Sofia described as a duck dying. Yup, a duck dying. Heart ran faster then the speed of light down the stairs and opened the door to let everyone in. "Hello!!!" She sang, and high-fived everybody as they walked in. "About time! I was sitting her bored as hell, throwing a tennis ball at the celling!" Gianna said once everybody was seated at the little table they always sat at. "Come on, we said we'd be here at 11:00, it's like 11:02, cut us some slack!" Sofia complained back, "Yeah, we made pretty good time for Luna being THREE minutes late!!" Emilio joked. He always seemed to turn a serious moment into a joke to lighten everybody's mood, which could be annoying at times, but sweet at others. "Hey!" Luna responded, and everybody broke into laughter afterward. "Well, anyway, the first thing on our list is go to the mall!" Heart showed everybody a list of everything that they wanted to do that day, and she pointed at the first line, reading: "Go to mall for boba, merch, food, etc..." "Ooo~" Gianna sang. "Lu, can you drive us, pretty please??" Gianna begged. Gianna only really called people by nicknames if she either wanted something or was showing her genuine concern/care for that person. In this case, she wanted something. "Finee, I am designated driver for life.." Luna agreed with an eye roll, which made Emilio giggle, and he patted her back jokingly. "SHOTGUN!!!" Sofia yelped, getting out her chair to do so. "NOOOOO!!!!!" Emilio dramatically fell to the floor, causing Luna and Heart die of laughter, and Gianna to smile.
