The day had come for trials to begin, starting within Ava's own company. Tony Gianopolous, a known competitor, was even trying to take over via buying stock, and was gaining very large quantities rather fast.
Harvey and Mike's goal was to keep Ava as the head of her company and win her murder trial. The same could not be said for Jessica, Louis, or Katrina.
"What is she doing here?" Mike asked, surprised to see Katrina standing behind Louis.
"She's my new associate," Louis replied, failing to see the second part of Mike's question.
How Meghan was in the conference room without anyone else noticing her was strange to him. He knew his sister to be quiet, but not quiet enough to go unnoticed.
"So that's why you made the video."
"You seem upset that she led you to believe that she was trying to befriend you when it turned out she was gonna betray you," Louis stated as if it were related to Mike almost becoming his associate.
"Louis," Harvey remarked.
"You got a problem with that?" Katrina asked with the kind of attitude that would get Meghan in trouble if she talked that way.
"My problem isn't with you," Mike replied. He could see the squirming teen from the corner of his eye. She still hadn't answered his question as if expecting someone else to do that for her.
"Not as long as your daddy's here," Katrina retorted.
"No. my problem is with whoever told this one she was back on the case," he said with his hand out toward Meghan.
"She's not back on the case. I gave her an assignment and she's doing it," Harvey answered before turning his attention to the current female who has recently become determined to be the bane of his existence. "Do I have to have another talk with you?"
Louis seemed perplexed as to why Harvey would have had a talk with his new associate in the first place, let alone why he didn't know about it. The thing with Katrina was that she saw anyone below her as a child, but she didn't see her own actions as childish.
"I can't believe it's up to me to be the adult in the room," Harvey nearly joked. It was a serious statement, but Meghan had a hard time holding back a snort. She then apologized after seeing the four adults glaring at her.
It took some doing for the four of them to put aside their issues and get down to business, but the one thing that bothered everyone aside from Harvey and Meghan was the teen's presence. Everyone knew she was removed from the case, so what was she doing in their meeting?
Ava was going to make a statement, and someone had orchestrated it so that her statement would happen during this meeting.
"I'm not choosing sides here, but wouldn't her making a statement of any kind create a problem with both cases?"
"Why are you still here?" Katrina snapped at her. The question of how an interview with a reporter could ruin both cases was written all over her face.
"You wanna field that one, Harvey?" Meghan asked. Her cell phone buzzed, and a quick glance told her it was Mozzie. "And while you do that, I have to take this."
She quickly grabbed her cell phone from the table and made her way to the door behind Mike and Harvey. She wished she had gone to the one that was closer to her though when she felt a hand wrap around her wrist. Mike gave her a look that said they hadn't even begun talking about this.
With a nod, she left.
"Now that the kid is gone, you wanna tell us what she was doing here when she's not even working either case?" Louis demanded.
