Chapter 5

Merlin sighs as he closes the door behind him

"Ah Merlin your back" Gaius was looking through a chest of sorts

"What's that Gaius?"

"Just clothing"

"Clothing?"

"Yes, these used to belong to me when I was younger and I'm giving them to you so look after them"

"Wow really" Merlin made his way to Gaius "your the best" he hugs Gaius

Gaius laughs "Now Merlin"

"Hm?"

"Why are you wearing the King's clothes"

"What do you mean Gaius" he back away

"Well it was just a guess but your reaction just confirmed it" he laughs

"The...uh King was sick on me so I borrowed his clothes and it's a old top anyways so yeah" he agreed with himself

"..." Gaius stared at Merlin before sighing "Whatever you say" he walks off "now I have to go check how people are doing"

"What do you mean"

"Nothing to be alert about Merlin just a hangover"

Merlin laughs 'I guess I'm a bit on edge because of what Guinevere said'

Gaius had been preparing some kind a medicine for hangover

"Ah right Gaius, you wouldn't happen to know what it means if my eyes glow"

"Did you forget that happens when you use your magic"

"But I didn't"

"Hmm" Gaius stood there thinking before making his way to the bookshelf "here" he passed a book to Merlin

"What's this"

"This is my research on magics and how it could have effects on people maybe you'll find something in here" he makes his way back to his work table

"Right" he opens the book and makes his way to his bedroom 'let's see' Merlin scanned the book

There had been a section in the book called 'Those who are born with magic'

Merlin sits up and begins to read '...those who are born with magic are very special...there magic grows every day and becomes one for example my research has led to believe sorcerers who are born with magic connects with there emotions more and reveals a glow.

Emotions that set off this effect:
•Anger-Very effective
•Sadness-A bit effective
•Pleasure-A certain extent
•Curiosity-A spark

However, no signs of magic being used unless incanted in ancient language'

At the bottom of the page contained a forgetting spell

Merlin had closed the book to take in the infomation

Before his face blew up 'ahhhhh' he internally screamed 'so now my powers are gonna give me away, with what is called an 'Effect' he shakes his head in a pillow

*knock knock*

Merlin quickly hid the book "yes" he goes up to his door "Ah Guinevere what brings you here?"

"Gaius sent me here to get my medicine"

"Medicine? Oh for your headaches, of course this way" he goes to Gaius' work table and finds a little bottle with Guineveres name "here you are"

"Thank you" she stares at Merlin

"Is there something else"

"No its just that I've seen that top before"
