But yeah, this one was a bit difficult, since I had to find a way to organically incorporate the "radioactive octopus" aspect of Eight's design/character, which was ironically the direction I leaned into the most. I thought about giving him 4 normal limbs and 4 tentacles, but that didn't feel right cuz;

Canon!Eight has fully tentacle limbs, and they make him walk different from the other numbers and not just as aesthetic/for the superpower thing, he kinda waddles around? Like, he has just as much mobility as the other numbers, but like. He waddles instead since he has tentacles instead of legs-
But yeah! Also since the og Eight has like 3 colors that are different shades of magenta/pink, I decided to add a radioactive green as well! This is a reference to 1. The whole "radioactive octopus" thing, and 2. To Splatoon's octolings! Specifically Dj Octavio.

Also, here's him without the mask! In this universe, the mask he has around his eyes is an actual mask to stitched up himself to look more like a superhero. It's actually a big comfort item for him, and he only takes it off to shower and sleep.
I'd love to go into more headcanons, but this chapter was just to show off the design lmao. Ty for reading tho! If I can settle on some good headcanons, I would try to make a headcanon page :D
