The book I picked up it's about corrupted objects, and it has a page marked.

And it's about the emerald Stone.

I walk over to Malfoy and slam the book in front of him.

" that book just fell "

He looks at it for a second and he looks a bit freaked as-well " woah "

I look around cautiously " someone's watching us Malfoy, that isn't just coincidental"

He looks over my shoulder " Marshall no one's here "

" I checked through that whole section I would've noticed it,someone put it there "

" shouldn't we be happy? , i mean they technically helped us "

I want to believe him but another part of me is worried on who's watching us.

" are you not a bit worried that someone is watching, and why ?" I say sitting down pulling my chair a tiny bit closer, weary now.

" not really "

I put piece of my hair behind my ear, and i look around ,freaked out.

Why would someone follow us here ? But then help us ? .

I take the book to look at it, it looks super old, the top corner is ripped and the spine looks a bit.. burned.

I open it on the first page and I read " published In 1865"

That's 49 years after the journal was written.

I turn to page to the marked page.

It has the picture of the stone and under it is "the cursed stone "

This stone belonged to the most powerful wizard, his name is un known, but this stone had the gift of immortality, he got it for his wife, only to find out she stole it and was going to use it for his brother and her,in a fit of rage, he killed the wife along with his brother, now this stone is buried with the wife. This stone was corrupted by the wizard, so whenever it is found, that person will be betrayed by their true love , and never find happiness.

Wait...Theo touched what he described to be a stone ... but he got burned, and he didn't get betrayed. Molly did.

I look at what I just read again, making sure I didn't miss anything.

" true love "

Oh...

" Marshall... are you going to tell me what you're reading "

" the stone was corrupted, by the wizard, and whoever finds it, would be betrayed by their true love, just like he was"

" is there a way to...remove that curse ?"

If a person finds it, but hasn't found their true love, they get burned.

Well that answers my question about Theo, so that means the stone was in this school, but how did it get there?.

I close the book and I stand up " woah where are you going ? "

I look at him while I'm gathering my stuff " we need to see Theo"

He pauses " why ? "
